KEYS TO THESE CHARTS Most of these are great matches, but there are a few that aren't perfect. At a minimum, they are nearby in the color family. The "easiest" Copic match is the first listed. If there are two listed, I may use either depending on the style of the card. For example, if one Copic is listed as "bright", I will use it on a bright birthday card. If one is listed as "subtle", I will use it on a sweet little flower. If there is a "blended match" listed (two Copics with a "+"), that is truly the best match, but it is also more work. Color the area with the first color and immediately color over that with the second color. I will use "blending" if I have a big area to fill; otherwise the single color is the easiest. The "PM"s are Prismacolor markers which are also alcohol-based, just as are Copics - and are cheaper. However, they include a narrow tip and a very wide tip - not the brush tip so not perfect for coloring. I would recommend having the greens because they are great for coloring flower stems. PM's marked with an * are actually a better match than are the Copics to that particular color. I have a very basic Copic coloring tutorial on my blog. My blog address is below, then just find the Copic section on the right side bar for the link.
