Martyna Gumua was born in September 14, 1988 in a small countryside. She graduated from Wysza Szkoa Humanistyczna in Gdask, where she studied journalism and PR. Shes been a devoted artistic photographer for five years and a lover of fashion photography for a year. Martyna tries to present the original way of doing the whole work. Shes dedicated, persistent and ambitious in pursuit of her own dreams. Martyna wasnt looking for it, photography found her itself, in moments of sadness or despair she took the camera. Later she became overwhelmed with fascination for women, trying to reveal their souls she dipped in art photography creating her own style of capturing moments and post-production, few years later she started to search the completely new way until she was fascinated by beautiful simplicity, so she started to learn and create her own fashion portfolio. She says, that she will never be perfect, because theres nothing worse than self-aggrandizement, you should learn during the whole life. She was also publicated in such magazines as Invited Magazine, Confashion Magazine, LaMode Info, Live & Travel, Presti, Nous Magazine, Positive Magazine, Modo Magazine, Invision Magazine, Vogue It. Martyna takes photographs from passion and with passion. When you ask her a question, whom she would like to be for the whole life, she answers that she cant imagine her life without what she does now photography.

Date of birth: 31/12/1988 Since I was young I felt attracted to this art and I have becoming more interestedas I was growing up. However, nowadays I am twenty three years old and I feel like I am still young to keep improving, studding and discovering new sides of my own style.I started taking pictures when I was twelve years old, so I have been photographing for twelve years. Recently, I just finished a Superior Course of Artistic Photography and now I am doing new fashion shootings with the aim of increasing and improving my portfolio. Also, with these kinds of online Magazines, I have the opportunity to show all the people in the world what I love to do, what it means everything for me.Photography is part of my life and right now its my passion, its my art and the way I express what I have in my mind.I think the bases of my influence are those first fashion photographers who deified the woman and their bodies as part of the photography art. Names like Richard Avedon or Irving Penn means a lot for me, not just like part of the history of photography but like icons I admire. I also enjoy having a look of new works of Steven Klein, Mario Testino or Mert and Marcus.Of course, one of the favourites hobbies besides the photography is fashion, thats why my work it is pretty influenced by fashion photography genre. Also I love languages and travelling. I would like to keep studding this art abroad, and get some professional experience working with any fashion magazine, photographer or agency.

The first thing I saw when I arrived in Bali where the small shops where artists sell beautiful and stunning mussel necklaces. All individual handmade, in different colors and sometimes in enormous sizes, so you can cover the whole upper body. Mostly this pieces are used for marriage. But when I saw this pieces I was sure I have to use them for a shoot on the beach. Through my worldwide contacts to agencies I found quick a suitable stunning model. I wanted to have a blonde model. Because usually you would expect a dark hair model with darker skin for a shoot in Bali with traditional jewellery. So if I found the gorgeous stunning dutch model Kiki through Balistarz agency. She was open for my ideas and was very amazing with posings from beginning the day till the end. Bali is not big and really good fashion stylists hard to find. So I decided to style my model alone, I did this in the past very often for own shoots or for other photographers. I like to have everything under my control. So I cooperated with different shops in Bali. The main idea & concept I wanted to transmit through the pictures is to create something new. I dont wanted to just shoot a model on the beach in Bali. I wanted to shoot something unusual and unforgettable. I loved to combine the traditional handmade mussel pieces and the unusual Bali model Kiki. I went a step further through changing the Hair color in pink for two different outfits. It shows much more the mix of traditional and the new high fashion look which you find this days in fashion magazines. Obviously I want to show with the pictures that traditional handmade work is still important for our society. And not everything should be exchanged and destroyed through manufactory. We should keep our traditions proudly and integrate them in our life. Like you can see on the pictures, through traditional old pieces and modern pieces you can experiment and create again something new!

In every big city I am travelling I love to do shoots on a rooftop. During my stay in Bangkok for few months I found a big building with different rooftops on the top. One with big black satellites. I saw it and I knew I have to do an editorial there. Cairo is a designer & stylist in Bangkok, and he offered to help with styling, also he used pieces of his own collection for this editorial. I decided to shoot with a model who has a bit edgy look, with tattoos and who is very tall. Pilar is probably the best model to fill this postion in Bangkok. Because caucasian models with tattoos in traditional Bangkok are not very common. I was during the rain season in Bangkok, so during the shoot it was raining and only sometimes it stopped. I expected the rain and was also included in my concept, because I wanted a edgy and mysterious look. And ass well because of the rain the floor was wet and looks amazing on the pictures. The main idea & concept was to show strong emotions and posings of an amazing woman who is on the top. She has everything what a young woman wants, she has the exotic mix look, is very tall and is self confident. It was important to show very strong emotions and expressions during the shooting, also very strong posings. It it about the young woman and her beauty. So we intentional dont use any accessories like jewellery for the shoots. Almost in the end of the day we put a big blonde wig on the model. It changed here completely look, and it demonstrate that even with big changings from the outllok the beauty of the model and her expression is still proved. Pilar, the model, thought we are crazy to put the wig on her, because it doesnt work with the whole concept. But she confidently was posing with the wig. And so the pictures should demonstrate your beauty and self confidence should be not changed. All in all it shows a whole day on a rooftop in an mysterious and edgy way, of a model who is on the top of the city and on the top of her live!

PRISON OF ICE: The editorial deals with a woman imprisoned in a building made of ice. The building represents the society which inhibits her to follow her dreams, to satisfy her needs, consequently the woman experiences interior struggles and sufferings. She would like to escape from reality to look for a better place where to live, where to realize her dreams, but fear keeps her imprisoned.
