QPID Committee Descriptions Sponsorship Committee The Sponsorship Team is responsible QPIDs external and internal fundraising. Responsibilities of the Sponsorship Committee include working with the Sponsorship Coordinators and Finance Director to develop and update QPIDs sponsorship package, to research and contact potential sponsors, and to maintain positive relationships with existing sponsors. Like all QPID members, committee members are expected to attend QPID Forum weekly. Committee members are expected to work between 3-5 hours per week on planning and execution of these initiatives in addition to 1 hour a week attending QPID Forum. Two committee members will be hired. Alumni Committee Alumni are vital to QPIDs long term success as an organization both through their tremendous knowledge base, and as a source for financial support. The Alumni Team works closely with its Alumni Coordinators and the Finance Director to maintain and build alumni relationships and complete the publication of three Alumni Newsletters annually. Committee members are expected to work between 3-5 hours per week on planning and execution of these initiatives in addition to 1 hour a week attending QPID Forum. Two committee members will be hired. High School Outreach Committee The High School Outreach committee works with local secondary schools in the field of youth engagement and youth action. The committee is divided into two sub-committees: SEE Workshops and Youth Forum. Members of the HSO sub-committees will be primarily working with their sub-committee, but HSO has many projects and there is the opportunity for members to work in both SEE and Conference! Please indicate which sub-committee you would like to be a part of and why. Committee members are expected to work between 3-5+ hours per week on planning and execution of these initiatives in addition to 1 hour a week attending QPID Forum. Approx 6-8 members will be hired. SEE (Seek, Engage, Empower) Workshops are conducted with various secondary school classes to give them an opportunity to learn and discuss development issues. SEE will also be working on implementing workshops with elementary aged kids, as well as implementing workshops in Queens Residences and with various Queens groups. Youth Forum on Community and Global Development is a one-day conference that promotes student leadership, providing high school students with the resources to make a positive change in their lifestyles and their lives through workshops, speakers and interactive activities. No prior experience in conference preparation is required, however it is considered an asset. Applicants with experience in tech set-up, technical computer skills, or strong networking skills will be considered assets. Engineering Outreach Committee This committee's main focus will be creating opportunities for Engineering students to get involved with and discuss development issues on campus and in the community. The committee will work closely with the Engineering Outreach Coordinators to develop ways to motivate engineers to be both interested and engaged in critically analyzing development issues. The committee is looking to maintain its pre-existing relationships with Habitat for Humanity, Martha's Table and Youth Diversion as well as finding new local organizations to work with. Committee members are expected to work between 2-4 hours per week on planning and execution of these initiatives in addition to 1 hour a week attending QPID Forum. Approx. 68 members will be hired. Marketing Committee The marketing committee will be responsible to promoting events hosted by QPID. They will be in charge of making posters, updating the website, Facebook and twitter account. The marketing team will use

creative methods to promote QPID events on campus and in the community. The committee will organize QPID events, including Patio Ritual at Clark Hall Pub and Middle School Dance Party at Alfies. Committee members will be expected to work between 2-4 hours per week on planning and execution of these projects in addition to 1 hour a week attending QPID Forum. Two committee members will be hired.
