I think that young adults should live alone before getting married. Living alone teaches you independence. When I moved out of my parents house, I had to learn to budget my pay for food and rent as well as how to wash my own clothes and make my own bed. It was hard, but I am better person for it. It gives you the freedom to do what you want before getting married. I know that I wanted to have an awesome stripper-filled drug-addled party for my 30th birthday all my life, but now that Im (happily) married, I know that I cant and wont. Im not angry, but I will always wonder what that party would have been like. Ultimately, living on your own prepares you for marriage. Jack, a friend from college, lived with three of his girlfriends after finishing university. He always says that it taught him how to deal with people and relationships when under the same roof - aside from family. In conclusion, because living alone makes you more independent, frees you to do what you want and can prepare you for marriage down the line, I think young adults should do so.
