S.C.K.3 GR CH AWESOME BUCK

GR CH AWESOME BUCK was bred, raised and campaigned by Stone City Kennels. AWESOME BUCK represents three generations of a bloodline which was created and preserved by Stone City Kennels. When stone City Kennels bred their GR CH YELLOW ROM female to GR CH BUCK ROM 15 years ago, they built a foundation of dogs that would go on and prove to be consistent show dogs and producers as well. Many great dogs have descended off this b l d l i n e and have passed down the traits of their great ancestry. Stone City Kennels should be thanked for maintaining this bloodtine and keeping it alive today for us to enjoy.

MAY JUNE 2005

Dear Journal I was at a show recently and overheard a long time dog man-say hewould never jeppardize his dogs campaign trail by going into a Champion or Grand Champion. Well to all you so called dog men and women who think your old FlDO is the best in the world at their weight take some notes from some good ole' boys like RBB, M.A.D., Grim Reaper, True Colors, and 6 Feet Deep, who get an adrenaline rush going into Champions. Take it from a real one who gave up 21bs to Grand Champion JOEY the Dog of the Year who beat two Champions and a Grand Champion. THE GRIM REAPER Dear Journal A big up to every true dogman that I've met while being on big brothers corrupt yard, you know who you are. I've enjoyed the stories, tips, the ideas, and in some cases the lies. From the west coast back to the east coast I've collected kennel names and numbers to help all of us progress once we touch home plate, believe me. I'm going to stay in touch with every one of you, even if your still on the chain. We need to keep this thing of ours safe before these great animals become extinct. So everyone be smart, very smart and safe about your business. One love and game to the core MIKE C. Dear Journal First I want to thank Mr. A.W. McCool and Mr. Jack Kelly for responding back to the letters 1 wrote to them Thanks guys it meant a lot that well respected people such as yourself would take the time to do what you d~d, as well as offer and invitation to your home, and offer advice as well. I look forward to meeting you ell and I hope to see you real soon. To the Bradshaw's I am trying to get information so that I can correspond with you all. I have a few dogs that I think will go well with the dogs on your yard. I'm still very much interested in the double-bred TAB'S. 1 would tike to send you a few photo's and pedigree's. To Mr. Crenshaw and Mr. Helms, we miss you out here, take care. To Mr. Floyd Boudreax, I heard about your troubles and it saddens me that something like this would happen after so many years of dedication. My support goes out to you and your family. Stay up. Last but not least, to all the dogmen I wrote to and sent p~ctures to that wouldn't write back, at least send my pictures back. Dear Journal

My heart goes out to this great man. I think most of us strive to be of the same caliber that he is Then to hear that he lost sixty four dogs, hrs life's work, truly sickens me. This statement that the Humane Society of the U.S. a every bulldogs enemy is true. We as a fraternity need to stand together You hear everyday about these monsters taking our dogs because we own a treadmill or we can't explain every scar on a dog. But instead of standing strong together we seem to want to fight among ourselves This is what the Humane Society wants, that way they could single us out and pick us off one at a time. My point being O.G. Posse and Ghostwriter. Now, I agree with O.G. Posse's statement about using your cat1 name I take no part in this battle, I onb know that faking any shows is wrong. Then again so is bad mouthing an honest kennel with out proof. My point is simply we can fight each other or get in the square with our real enemy. We need to be one in sport and stop all this bull before it IS too late In closing I'd like to send my respect out to Gary Cotes and SwampDweller, thanks for your letters. WARCHILDA DAHO Dear Journal I'd like to publicly address some of the recent letters I've been receiving expressing appreciation and gratitude for my help and guidance. Let the truth be told, I'm really just trying to do my part to better the quality of bulldogs in this world and be the best at what I do. In doing so if I can provide and outlet for up and coming dog men trying to get on point then I'II do that. I truly believe that one remains a student his entire life in the dogs. Even a master makes a commitment to continuous stud realizing the boundaries of greatness are ever expanding. So don't be intimidated by new standards, if your serious about being the best, then you'll do what it takes. When I was coming up in this game there weren't a lot of people who would give it to you cut and dry. So if I'm deging with a new comer on any aspect, and I see an opportunity to give him some knowledge that will help his program, Idon't have a problem doing that. A lot of the more seasoned dogmen of today don't want to part with their knowledge, even though by doing so would create a better breed of dogmen, and make the competion more challenging. Therefore, forcing everyone to pick up their game a little bit. Although, I do understand the

I would like to give a shout out to OGB for always

keeping it real, you are a true sportsman, a lot of dogmen talk and can't back it up. And to all of those five guys who know what they are, Hitrnan don't turn down anyone If I got the weight lets set the date.

yard 'full of so many dogs". Does a person who keeps such a clean yard really seem like a candidate to have malnourished dogs? It's a weird, empty, helpless, feeling to have your rights violated. Even though the pit bull has never been on the top ten on the bite list I couldn't own one in my county. The next day I visited my vet and talked with his wife who is a vet tech. She said the H.S called to verify what 1 had said. She told them my dogs always look well taken care of when I bring them in. To my amazement she didn't talk highly of the county Humane Society. I guess they have a power trip with everyone. Apparently they approached her husband with a dog that had been dead for three weeks. The told him the dog was starved and needed him to testify against the dogs owner. The vet declined saying he couldn't say for sure the dog starved due to it's decaying state. They left mad and now tell all people who adopt dogs they have to go to certain vets. They won't pay for the shots if they take them to my vet. 1 knew I couldn't stay were I was and pay taxes to a communist county. Buy it's not just my house, it's my two children's as well. When I told my daughter(and kennel partner) we have to get rid of the dogs to stay, she said no way. That's my girl! I have put the house up for sale, but we still had to get rid of most of the dogs. My only friends in the dogs are out of state and kennels boarding around here is $420 per dog a month. One of the dogs we had to get rid of was a bitch I bought for my daughter being on the honor roll all year, three years ago I wrote a letter to the local newspaper and will visit the city council All that is on hold now, however, out of respect for the dog warden Since I haven't got rid of all the dogs yet, stirring up the pot wouldn't be a great idea I have lived in my home with no problems for two and a half years. Although they won't tell me who, someone drove by a saw the dogs and called the dog catcher. Someone ratted me out for breaking a law that is unconstitutional. I wonder if this person l~ved a hundred and fifty years ago would they have ratted out the Underground Railroad? MARK S

dangers of opening up to strangers, and the caution flags have been thrown up to me by some of my closest friends: I will definitely take heed. Damager, Millbuster, Lights Out T of New York, and to my family and partners Game Boy and Youngblood. SWAMP DWELLER-BLOOD BOND KENNELS Dear Journal I always try to write something to keep up awareness on how unbalanced, cruel, and unconstitutional our laws are. How little did I know it would hit so close to home. I arrived home from my second job to find two letters in my door, one from the Humane Society, one from the county dog warden. The Humane Society said I had twenty-four hours to contact them or an arrest warrant would be issued. It stated the two dogs needed medical attention, they were "skinny" and not properly fed, and one dog had grass in his water bowl. The dog warden's letter said I had twenty-four hours to remove the dogs from the yard. So what do I do, remove them or keep them to shown they are properly cared for? I tried to contact both partjes with no luck. My neighbor said he not only saw the dog warden and Humane Society on my property, but also a deputy sheriff. I called a friend in another state who knows I live in a very small town. We came to the conclusion they really didn't know how to handle the situation and though I was going to be charged with dog fighting. So I chose to bring the dogs to a friends along with my magazines and breaking sticks. In my state they will try to use these things against you as dog fighting paraphernalia. I called out of work the next day expecting to be arrested. The next morning the dog warden called and I come to find out they did not suspect me of dog fighting but since 1994 the county had an ordinance that no one in the county could own or harbor pit bulls or their crosses (a fourth degree misdemeanor). He told me he would give me some time to place the dogs. He also told me I had to contact the Humane Society, who weren't as nice. The 'woundsn they spoke of was a staph infection a bitch on pups got and spread to another dog. I had to give her the number of my vet to verify this and that the dogs were on medication. I told her one dog was skinny built because of genetics and the other was a bitch on pups. She disagreed and said she raises Chihuahuas and after they whelp they gain weight. 1 wasn't in a position to debate. She had the power and from her statement she obviously knew nothing about bulldogs let alone dogs. Later in the conversation she stated that she was surprised by a lack of feces in a

The following was my email response to Laura of the LASPCA, the butcher who murdered Floyd and Guy Boudreaux's dogs. While Irealize that my words can do little, maybe we can all put our differences aside and stand behind the APBT.

Subject: Concerning your mistreatment of Mr. Boudreaux and his animals.. . To: laura@la-spca.org To Laura of the LASPCA:
Iam writing you in reference t o the recent arrest of Mr. Floyd

Boudreaux and his son, and of the subsequent euthanasia of their animals. As an American, Iam absolutely disgusted by your reckless actions, not only because of the genocide that you have waged on the world's most courageous breed of dog, but also at your apparent disregard for legal due process. Ihave relatives who have fought and died for the rights we as American citizens are supposed to have, and Ibecome enraged when people like yourself ignore those rights without any shame whatsoever. Iam an avid reader and studier of World War 11, and Imust say that the actions of the SPCA, as well as t k other "humaniac" groups, can be only compared to the actions of the Nazis themselves. Let me make a few points t o you to defend my claims.
1 . Similar to the Nazis, the SPCA and other "humaniac" groups

use genocide, blatant murder, as their main weapon for accomplishing their goals. I watched the news video of Mr. Boudreaux's animals being taken from the property, and Imust say my heart sank as Isaw healthy dogs wagging their tails as they were unknowingly being marched off to their demise. I didn't see bloodthirsty dangerous animals, instead Isaw helpless Jews being herded off by Nazis t o the gas chamber. I realize my analogy is harsh, but not nearly as harsh as your

MAY - JUNE 2005

PAGE 34

murdering over fifty innocent APBTs. Ihave owned and bred do not own any currently), so I American Pit bull terriers (I know first hand that very few of these animals are dangerous to people. Even if it is to be proved that these specific animals were bred for fighting purposes, that has no relationship to their human aggression whatsoever. Do we condemn Rat Terriers for pursuing rats? Absolutely not. Should we condemn APBTs for being dog aggressive? Absolutely not. Mr. Boudreaux's dogs were properly restrained, and thus posed no threat of any kind to other animals or to humans. The only aggression Isee here is your organization murdering over fifty healthy animals.
2. Similar t o the Nazis, the SPCA and other "humaniac" groups

use propaganda to blur the line between reality and fiction, and thus further their cause. Iread in the news article regarding Mr. Boudreaux that because he owned a k-9 treadmill, that is proof of him fighting dogs. Ihave shown many dogs in ADBA sanctioned shows, and Ican personally vouch that utilizing a treadmill is an excellent and efficient means of bringing a dog into show form. Ihave used a treadmill to shape two ADBA conformation champions. Mills are incredibly useful during bad weather or when time is short for working. Ialso found it amusing that the mill that Floyd owned was an antique and apparently had cob webs and rust on it, obviously because it had not been used for many years. Yet the SPCA, teaming with a money hungry media who sell hysteria much like drug dealers sell heroine, takes this bit of information and twists it into a completely fictional reality. Your propaganda is nauseating to me, because as a former owner of this breed, Iknow for a fact own a pistol (which has NO other that you are dead wrong. I f I purpose than for killing humans), am Ito be convicted as a murderer? Yet because Mr. Boudreaux owned a treadmill (which has many legal purposes), he is labeled a dog fighter. That is the "logic" that your propaganda would have the public believe.
3. Similar t o the Nazis, the SPCA and other "humaniac" groups

ignore the rights of the state and institute their own set of laws to further their interests. How can Mr. Boudreaux possibly get a fair trial when your organization has already destroyed the

MAY JUNE 2005

PAGE 35

evidence? How can a jury make an informed decision if they cannot see these animals first hand? The answer is simply that Mr. Boudreaux can no longer have a fair trial, and the jury can never make an informed decision i n this case. Iam quite sure that this was your intention, because after all, what might happen if the jury is introduced t o over fifty beautiful and friendly dogs? What might happen if they pet those animals, and see them for the first time without the influence of the media hype and your senseless propaganda slanting reality? I think we both know the answer. Your organization (and you as an individual) have no resped for the legal system. Your arrogance about your own power lead you to disgrace a system of law that is supposed to belong t o all American citizens. Where Is the justice in a legal system where only you make the rules?
4. Similar to the Nazis, the SPCA and the other "hurnaniac"

groups constantly show their own ignorance as they pursue their cause. The Nazis believed in creating the super race, and displayed ignorance as they persecuted the people who didn't fit in with their plan (Jews, gypsies, etc.). Had the Nazis embraced and utilized the strengths of those people (as scientists, as doctors, as soldiers, etc.) they may have in fact triumphed in their cause. Their ignorance was their downfall, and Iam always shocked every time Iread more about it. Similarly, I am always shocked at the SPCA's lack of understanding of the APBT. For example, your organization considers a "fighting dog" to be a danger to society. This idea is purely ignorant. Why don't APB Ts rank highest on the bite list? Why do they score so highly in obedience training? Why do they make such loyal and trustworthy companions? Why? Because they ARE NOT BRED FOR HUMAN AGGRESSION (even if they ARE bred for dogfighting), thus, a human aggressive APBT is the exception, not the rule. Your organization also considers a breaking stick as being "dog fighting paraphernalia". The ignorance of this ideal is embarrassing. Using parting stick is in fact the most effective and humane method for separating dogs from each other should they happen to get into a fight (NO MATTER WHAT BREED THEY ARE!!!!). You organization claims that its purpose ' is to protect animals and keep them safe from harm, yet you

MAY JUNE 2005

PAGE 36

don't even know how to separate animals in a humane fashion. Instead, your ignorance proceeds to the next level: murdering as many innocent APBTs as possible, as quickly as possible, instead of embracing the breed for its many noble qualities. Your ignorance is astounding, and Ican only hope that, like the Nazis, it will some day be your downfall.
I n conclusion, as an American, Iam disgusted by the actions of your organization. Imust admit, Iam also fearful of your actions, as Ican only compare them t o those of the Nazis. I honestly do not understand how you people can look at yourselves in the mirror. Not only do you persecute Americans as you trample the legal system which is designed to protect the rights of all citizens, you commit senseless and barbaric atrocities against a noble breed of dog that is widely misunderstood (especially by the SPCA). Your organization is supposed to protect animals, and yet your main weapon in the pursuit of the illegal act of dogfighting is to murder as MANY animals as possible, when any logical human being can see that the dogs are the innocent ones. Your hypocrisy knows no bounds. The dogs have committed no crimes, and Floyd and Guy Boudreaux are being denled their right to a fair trial. Ido not consider the actions of the LASPCA t o be legal nor humane. Iurge the Boudreaux family t o file a countersuit to address your crimes, and Ihope that justice is served.

Sincerely, A Persecuted American Citizen

Dear Journal I wrote this letter for the purpose of informing others about this tragedy and to encourage the fraternity to get involved in supporting each other in any way possible. Because united we all stand and divided we'll fall. So get involved brothers and support the Boudreaux family with anything that you can spare. Whether it be $1, $5, $10, $25 or $100. Plant the seed to victory. Let's see how game we really are, that's the challenge. Jay, thanks again for a job well done and I hope to speak to you

I am sad to announce the passing of an old time dogman named Mr. James Burns. From what I heard, Mr. Burns died a couple of months ago and was probably in his mid 80's.

I have waited for someone who knew Mr. Burns to write something in about him, so 1 took the initiative to announce a loss in the fraternity. If anyone has further information about Mr.Bums, please write in.

Mr. Burns has probably owned dogs for over 50 years and resided in Monks Comer, SC. He was known to have some of the purest REDBOYIJOCKO lines. He had a dog named OX who had beat the well known Woods' SNOOTY ROM back in the day. He was friends with many great old timers. Some of his famous dogs were Bums' OX, Bums' BIG HEAD, Burns' STUMPY, Burns' HOTDOG, and Burns' TRUCK. His dogs were known to have been very game and they have produced many great show dogs. If you look back in your dogs past generation, you will find dogs bred by Mr. Bums. Mr. Burns bred some great bulldogs. Our sincerest condolences go out to his family.

AFTERCARE!!
Finally, after many requests by those who hog hunt andlor wild boar hunt with dogs in states where it is still legal, there is a DVD being offered specifically for situations where you are not able to get to a Veterinary Hospital in time. To my knowledge, nothing like this has ever been done and is guaranteed to improve on how you take care of your dogs. No more "losing a good one" after a hard hog hunt. Now, in this DVD I will show you step by step how to (1) properly place an IV catheter and administer IV fluids. (2) How much IV fluids to give and what kind.(3)How to properly administer injectable medications and most importantly the right dose and witch ones to use. I will also show you how to get IV bags, catheters, IV administration sets and antibiotics (the real good stuff.)Using these same techniques that I will show you, I have worked on athletes such as WW 111 Kennels Ms. Carver 3x, Hardline Kennels Bela 3x, ZZ Boys Doom 4x, WW 111 Kennels Diesel Boy 1x, and the list goes on and on. In addition, I will go over the day to day maintenance of hunting dogs. The goal here is to educate and teach those who are tired of losing there "prize possessions." So, to get your DVD on these life saving skills, please send a $20 money order to Mid Atlantic Combine P.O. Box 9356 Silver Spring MD 209 16
