For this youngster is keen to make his mark in the charts with his new album entitled Wont Go Quietly (to be released in June) and this is exactly the fighting talk needed to prevent the star, aka Elliot Gleave, 26, from slipping into the musical abyss. Since his last album was released in 2007, Example has been gigging his heart out in a bid to get a step closer to his dream of being a headline act at Glastonbury. Aside from headlining the UKs biggest, messiest festival, youve got to be good to become even part of the bill and he has proved that. And until Examples dream becomes reality, Elliot told Whats On reporter Selina Maycock he is more than chuffed to be on the line-up for Glasto and every single summer festival in the UK. Over the last five to six years Ive been busy, sad Elliot. Ive done more than 400 gigs in the last five years. Im doing all of the festivals this summer 25 in total. Im currently working towards my goal of headlining a festival one day. I would love it to be Glastonbury singing that would be good. But with the festival craze about to sweep the nation over the next couple of months, with tents and camping gear flying off the shelves faster than a boy scout can shout dib-dib, Elliot intends to swap his sleeping bag for the stage. I didnt really go to a festival until I was 21, he said.

dance style. Im signing on this album, around four have rap in them, but I sing mostly. I suppose rap dance would be a fair representation of those tracks. I know my label wants to release the best songs. Ive written three or four good songs which I will release as singles and the rest on the album are more experimental. Comedians globe for it

A GERMAN comedian whose aim is to conquer the globe is appearing at Barton upon Humbers Ropery Hall in his next step towards world domination. Henning Wehn and his compatriot Otto Kuhnle are touching down in Barton as part of a UK-wide tour which he hopes will debunk the myth that Germans do not have a sense of humour. My understanding of humour and comedy is very British, mainly because Ive never encountered it until I came to the UK, said Henning.
