JLS may be the acronym for Jack the Lad Swing but after a successful night at the Brit Awards for Aston, Marvyn, JB and Oritse, it stands for Just Look Whos Shining! With a handful of glitzy awards already stacking up on the JLS tour bus, Whats On reporter SELINA MAYCOCK got her lips into gear for some on the road straight-talking with Marvyn from JLS.

The tours going great its absolutely incredible, said Marvyn. Its great to give something back to the fans for all of the support theyve given us from day one. Were even going back to singing the first song we sung at our first audition on X-Factor. Since the end of the boot-camp days, JLS have had one album and four singles, but the two songs which Marvyn said he always gets his groove on to, aside from chilling with Alicia Keys new album on his i-pod, is JLS very own Only Tonight and Everybody In Love. Fans who cant get enough of the UK theatre dates, can catch the boys on part of the huge arena tour scheduled for the end of the year.

THE boys are untouchable. Right from the early stages of their career theyve had unbelievable success. JLS are hot property everyone wants a piece of them even their hoodies. So as the band chilled out on route to their next gig, I found out what makes the girls go mmmm for Marvyn.

The arena tour will be a different show, said Marvyn. Theres only so much you can do on a small theatre stage, so the arena tour will be a lot bigger for us. Without giving too much away as to what fans might be counting down the days to, Marvyn added: You can expect to see if some flying at some point. When asked what backstage demands they make, Marvyn replied: Were not really like that, Before belting out the tasty trio list...As long as weve got Nandos, Haribo and also some moisturiser to clear up most of our spots and make us glow. (Okay, moisturiser isnt edible, but think of it more as a type of dressing that makes the boys look tasty.) And one pre-stage ritual the boys darent skip before any performance is the group prayer. Before we go on stage we all say a little

prayer and have a little hug, he said. But this spiritual habitual cannot save the boys form those candid-camera mishaps which have the habit of creeping in. Marvyn has proven the prevention of embarrassing moments, is a case of being in the right place at the right time. He said: Oritses trainer came off during a performance and he wasnt sure whether to pick it up, so I switched places with him then it was fine. He made a joke with the fans before going to collect it. Thats the first proper mishap on tour. Looking to the future, Marvyn has not ruled out a stateside appearance for JLS. Always dream, he said. We want to achieve bigger and better things. For us, at the moment we want to get our status higher and build on it internationally. Who knows, USA?
