The Ross Indian Subcontinent Association (RISA) is one of the premier student organizations at the University of Michigan's Ross

School of Business that provides its members not only a firsthand experience of the diverse culture of the Indian Subcontinent, but also the skills and network required to succeed at business school and beyond. RISA's has five key programs: 1. RISA Think is RISAs premier program that provides members with thought provoking seminars, debates, and workshops. This series supplements your Ross MBA with a thorough understanding of key business issues such as the minimumwage argument, lobbying vs. pay-off, and so on. It is designed to provide Ross MBAs with a well-rounded business education. RISA think events include What they dont teach at Business School with the top-ranked Professors of Ross, and a debate on The Minimum Wage Argument, MAP-selection workshop, and many more. 2. RISA Connect is aimed at helping RISA members develop strong relationships with Ross Alumni, and the broader Michigan and Indian American community. Past events include coffee chats with alums from McKinsey, BCG, Amazon, speaker series connecting RISA members to talks from professors from Michigan and other top business schools, alumni mentorship and so on. 3. RISA Edge is a training module for recruiting designed by interns and alumni at top firms specific to each industry. These modules are designed to help RISA members prepare for recruitment by providing a thorough timeline for recruitment, practice cases and mock interviews, industry knowledge handbook, and round the year feedback. Past events include case workshop by interns from Mckinsey & BCG, off-campus workshop by off-campus specialists. 4. RISA Socials hosts some of Ross biggest parties of the year. RISA Socials enables members to connect with the subcontinents rich culture and traditions. Past events include the Diwali (festival of lights) & Eid party, Holi (festival of colors) with free organic color sachets, whirlyball, bowling, mystery dinners, MBA2 farewell, and many more. RISA members get special discount to attend these parties and events 5. RISA Outreach caters to students from other Ross Courses such as MFE, MaAC, BBA, who are interested in Indian Subcontinent and also coordinate events with other student organizations outside of Ross. Note: You do not need to be from the Indian sub-continent to be a member! All members get the same benefit.
