DELHI MUMBAI INDUSTRIAL CORRIDOR


Delhi Mumbai Freight Corridor from Dadri (UP) through Haryana, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra upto JNPT Port (1483 Kms.) being planned. Along side the Freight Corridor, Industrial Corridor 300 Kms. wide (150 Kms. on each side) being planned. Nearly 45% of DMIC will be within Rajasthan. RIICO designated as the nodal agency of the State

CONNECTIVITIES
The connectivity suggested by the State Government are as follows:

This is likely to link Daruhera/Bhiwadi if Bawal is linked. Passenger Rail Link from Neemrana to Bhiwadi via Ajarka. Rajsamand to Bhilwara to have linkagae of Rajsamand with Kishangarh. Broadgauge rail linkage of (a) Ajmer-Merta Road (b) Peepar-Bilara-Bar. Four laning of Rewari-Daruhera-Bhiwadi-Palwal Road (NH 71-B) from existing two lanes. Two laning of Sohna-Firozpur-Jhiraka-Alwar. Four laning of Daruhera-Bhiwadi-Tapukara-Tijara-Kishangarh-Alwar. Connecting Neemreana with Alwar via Beraud (SH.25) by four land. Neemrana-Ajarka-Kotkassim-Tapukara (New link road). Four laning of Makrana to Kishangarh via Parbatsar.

GOI has identified Investment Regions (200 Sq.Kms.) and Industrial Areas (100 Sq.Kms.) in DMIC.

Delhi Mumbai Industrial Corridor Development Corporation Limited (DMICDC)


For implementation of DMIC project, DMICDC incorporated with stake of GOI 25% Beneficiary States 24% IL&FS 41% IDFC 10% Secretary, DIPP, GOI is the Chairman of DMICDC. Nominee of the State Government is a permanent special invitee in the meetings. State Government has agreed to participate in the equity to the extent of 4% (Rs. 40 lakhs) IL&FS Infrastructure Development Corporation appointed as project management consultant (PMC).

DMICDC
GOI through DMICDC is getting the Pre Feasibility for 6 nodes, one in each State and also for the DMIC region as a whole. DMICDC is in the process of appointing consultants.

Early Bird Projects


Early bird projects discussed in the last Board Meeting of DMICDC are as under
Knowledge city at Neemrana To serve the existing industrial base in the vicinity.
Water sourcing and management project for Khushkhera-Bhiwadi-Neemrana IR NCRPB Report suggests water sourcing from Chambal River. Tentative route: Dholpur-Bharatpur-Nagar Kishangarh-Behror (250 Km.) Approximate cost: INR 2733 Million.

4-Laning of existing Dharuhera-Bhiwadi-Tapukhera-Tijara-Kishangarh-Alwar 2 lane road (95 Km.) Four Lane Connectivity between Neemrana & Alwar via Baraud (62 Km.).

Early Bird Projects


It has been proposed to the State Government to consider following early bird projects for implementation: Knowledge city at Neemrana to serve the existing industrial base in the vicinity. Four laning of existing Dharuhera-Bhiwadi-Tapukhera-Tijara-Kishangarh-Alwar 2 lane road (95 km) Four lane connectivity between Neemrana & Alwar via Baraud (62 km)

RIDCOR has already taken up 4 laning of Tapukhera-Alwar therefore a new project can be suggested in place of this project. The possible projects could be as under
Water sourcing and management project for Khushkhera-Bhiwadi-Neemrana IR Broad gauge linkage from Neemrana to DFC (Bhiwadi) Logistic hub in Khuskhera-Bhiwadi-Neemrana region

ISSUES

Ajmer- Kishangarh Industrial Area


Ajmer and Kishangarh renowned for marble and textile industries Located along NH-8, Golden Quadrilateral Corridor offering connectivity to rest of India. Well connected by trains with the rest of the country Jaipur Airport 130 km away provides good air connectivity Major urban infrastructural development programmes underway for upgrading the city infrastructure at Ajmer-Pushkar. Main minerals of the area - feldspar, quartz, asbestos, soapstone, manganese, calcite, limestone, mica, emerald, marble, granite, and masonry stone.

Bhilwara-Chittorgarh Industrial Area


Bhilwara - 'Textile City of India
Accounts for 40% of the synthetic yarn production in the country

Chirttorgarh famous for its mineral based Industry. Cottage & Artisan units based on handloom, leather, terracotta & livestock are other major attractions Proximity to Dedicated Rail Freight Corridor at Ajmer. Lafarge setting up large cement plant

Proposed Investment Regions and Industrial Areas in DMIC


Pali-Marwar Industrial Area Pali has a range of industries viz. textile, marble cutting, leather, agricultural instruments, chemicals, cement and minerals based industrial units. Pali-Marwar Industrial Area is well served by the road network (junction of NH- 14, NH-65 at Pali) and rail network (Marwar Junction) that offer connectivity to rest of India. Proposed DFC alignment passes through Marwar Junction and offers excellent connectivity. Jodhpur Airport, located at 70km from Pali, serves the air connectivity to the region Pali also has rich agricultural base for: guar, sesamum ,Wheat , Cotton, Barley
