ARTIST BIOS
LINDA BARNICOTT. Linda Barnicott began her career as a portrait artist. Today she is beloved and sought-after for her enchanting portraits of Pittsburgh. Using rich pastel colors, she captures the unique beauty of famous Pittsburgh places with a charm all her own. It began in 1989 with the now-famous tribute to downtown holiday shopping entitled Meet Me Under Kaufmanns Clock. From this work Linda created several series of Pittsburgh scenes, capturing warm memories that are loved by generations. In 1995, she began painting a series of Kennywood Park scenes that has become even more popular. Since then, she has brought to life the magic of every amusement park in the region, including Story Book Forest, Idlewild Park, Sand Castle Water Park and West View Park. GERRY DINNEN. Carnegie native, Gerry Dinnen earned an M.F.A. in Ceramics at Edinboro University, and an M.A., Art Education at West Virginia University. He is a ceramic artisan who loves to explore the effects and variations that arise in wood, salt, soda and reduction firing. Mr. Dinnen has taught ceramics at the Community College of Allegheny Co., the historic Brew House in the South Side, the Pittsburgh Art Institute, the Sweetwater Art Center in Sewickley and various workshops throughout the region. His finely crafted decorative and functional (sometimes funky) pottery has been exhibited both locally and nationally, and can be seen at the 3rd Street Gallery in Carnegie and the Society for Contemporary Craft in the Strip District. DREW HINE. Drew received his BFA in glass from the Center for Creative Studies in Detroit, Michigan. His work is exhibited at the Posner Gallery in Birmingham MI The Brew House in Pittsburgh, and the Morgan Contemporary Glass Gallery in Pittsburgh. Drew currently teaches glass blowing at the Pittsburgh Center for the Arts. BERNADETTE E. KAZMARSKI is a self-employed artist and writer, completing print and web designs, illustrations and written articles and professional writing for a variety of customers as well as commissioned fine art and photography. She combines a degree in English and a love of art, animals and nature to create logos, brochures, websites, portraits, paintings, poems and short stories of the things we love and the world around us.
