Requests for early afternoon and late evening appointments with the Pastor have been overwhelming which limits his time to visit ministry meetings, rehearsals and outside meetings to help move Macedonia forward. Appointments will be available during the mornings and early afternoons Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.

Dr. Alfred O. Taylor Jr. Brings Community, History and Legacy Together in South Arlington by genevieve concannon on September 27th, 2013 (as appeared in the Arbor RealtyArlington Real Estate) If you have ever had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Alfred O. Taylor Jr., then you already know his amazing, beaming radiance. He is the sort of gentleman who brings both a happy-energy and calming-force at the same time. Raised in the Nauck Community and schooled in both Arlington and The District, Dr. Taylor has a photographic memory that even now, will impress and charm you. During a wonderful lunch discussion with him earlier this week, we were chatting about several Board positions that we worked on together in the community and I wanted to know more about this awesome community figurehead. Dr. Taylor shared with me a bit of his wonderful story, how he and his lovely wife have been sweethearts since the age of six, and were married at sixteen and seventeen. A love like this is golden, and these two are amazing! They will celebrate their sixty-first wedding anniversary this year. Dr. Taylor is a man of great compassion and rich devotion to keeping heritage alive and understood where he has seen an ever-changing shift and dance in a community that he remains the active Civic Association President, respected church-goer, Boardmember for numerous organizations and vital community liaison. Even after retiring, Dr. Taylor thrives on working through outreach and bringing people together through positive community involvement. Youll see him at the Nauck Community Development Center or the Nauck Pride Day that he organizes with the Civic Association, or at the Nauck Revitalization Organization or the Bonder and Amanda Johnson Community Development Corporation; wherever it may be, he is out to be bring people together and empower South Arlingtonians. Community is something that Dr. Taylor takes very much pride in facilitating and cultivating in his South Arlington neighborhood of Nauck. He wont hesitate to tell you his glorious past, and his knowledge of the county, Nauck and the surrounding areas will give you a furthered sense of respect and value for the labor of love that he calls the bridge of legacy. Something that stands out about Dr. Taylor is his gift for storytelling, yet he is excited about his next venture, to allow others to share their stories with the community. Dr. Taylor might not know this, but I consider him a mentor. He is someone young men and women should to aspire to become one day. He is a phenomenal man who does so much for his community and expects so little in return.
