Day 1 Arrival at the airport and Proceed to Kumarakom and check into the hotel.

Day 2 Kumarakom, the queen of Vembanad, is a resort destination. This tiny village on the edge of Vembanad Lake was practically unknown till one Henry Baker purchased land from the erstwhile King of Travancore to build himself a grand home. Kumarakom, today is a maze of modern resorts and heritage-homes-cum-hotels spilling over the islands bank. Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary is a must-visit with its numerous beautiful rivulets and waterways. The scenic Vembanad Lake surrounded by mangrove forests and paddy fields is one of the best places for bird viewing inside the sanctuary. A large population of feathered species along with a pleasant climate make it a great picnic spot. As Kumarakom is a popular backwater destination in Kerala, a houseboat cruise is a must-do activity for visitors. A boat cruise on the beautiful Vembanad lake is one of the best ways to enjoy birdwatching in the park. One can also enjoy wildlife photography at Pathiramanal - a small island on the lake. A little ahead of Kumarakom, you can visit the backwater town of Kottayam packed with rubber plantations and majestic old churches Day 3 Proceed to Thekkady and check into the hotel. Thekkady is considered a heaven for natural spices such as black pepper, cardamom, cinnamon and clove. The main attraction in thekkady is boating on the lake and the Mullai Periyar Dam. Boating will take approximate 2 hours and you can also get rare glimpses of wild animals. Dont forgot to take photos. Bring a digital camera with Optical zoom to take the closer shots of the animals. Thekkady has immense possibilities for Adventure Tourism. The Forest Department offers many programs including Periyar Tiger Trail, Nature walk, Bamboo Rafting, etc. There are private organizations as well as government agencies (e.g.KTDC), who promote adventure tourism in Thekkady. Plantation tourism also is promoted by these agencies, so that the tourists can see and learn the cultivation of various spices of Kerala. Day 4 Departure from Cochin airport.

Day 1: Cochin - Thattekkad (Bird sanctuary) After reaching at Cochin Airport,Moksh Holiday welcomes you at the airport and drives you to Thattekkad. On arriving the hotel fulfill all check-in formalities and get relaxed . Thattekkad is located in Ernakulam district of Kerala on the north bank of River Periyar. This land specially allotted to bird sanctuary and the named given on the name of ornithologist Dr. Salim Ali. Early evening start your birding tour to the bird sanctuary which is home to various migratory and resident birds. This place is the house of some of the rarest species of Indian birds. Enjoy all activities like Boating, Trekking, Mountain Biking, Elephant Training Centre, Jeep Safari, visit to Elephant Training Centre etc. After taking lip smacking dinner, take relax and overnight stay

Day 2:Thattekkad - Thekkady (Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary) Get up early morning to start again the interesting bird watching tour, after bird watching tour come back to resort to fulfill all check-out formalities and now its time to say good bye and proceed to Thekkady which is 140 Kms from Thattekkad.after reaching at Thekkady,check-in at the hotel which is already booked by Moksh Holiday.Rest of the day is at leisure.

Day 03: Thekkady After taking your lip smacking breakfast start the tour to Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary (which is also known as Thekkady Wildlife Sanctuary). At this wildlife sanctuary you can find out lot of wild animals like elephants, deer, bison, sambars, gaurs, lion-tailed macaques and Nilgiri Langurs. Here you can see rare birds like herons, egrets, darters, kingfishers and the great Malabar grey hornbill. Reptiles like Cobras, Vipers, Kraits, monster lizards and even pythons are found in this park. At afternoon take boat ride on Periyar Lake, explore the amazing wildlife.late afternoon you visit the spice and tea plantations and Kumily spice shopping centers. Day 4: Periyar - Cochin - Departure After having your breakfast its time to check out to the Thekkady hotel and drive towards Cochin. Meanwhile you can see the city and explore the well colonial design buildings.and if your pocket allows you you can enjoy the shopping at Cochin. At the end Moksh Holiday representative will transfer you to the airport. Fly back home with memorabilia of the Kerala tour.

Day 1 - Arrive at Cochin


When you arrive in Cochin, you will be greeted at the airport and then transferred to the Casino hotel. There will be a city tour in the afternoon, with visits to Fort Cochin, Dutch Palace, church of St Francis, Jewish Synagogue, an antique shop in Jews Street and a spice market. It would be best to tour Fort Cochin on foot. However, if you find it too tiring, an auto rikshaw is always available for you to hop into! Overnight stay at the Casino hotel.

Day 2 - Cochin to Periyer


We travel to Periyer after breakfast. Periyer is a beautiful place, full of rubber estates, tea plantations and spice plantations. There is also a well known wildlife reserve on Periyer Lake. At Periyer you will check into the SPICE VILLAGE resort. After lunch, you can pay a visit to the resident ayurvedic doctor and consult him. Dinner and night stay at the resort.

Day 3 At Periyer
You will spend a week at Periyer undergoing Ayurvedic therapy. Your programme and diet will be planned by a resident ayurvedic doctor, known as "Vaidya".Thereafter, your therapy will commence. The therapy includes a number of herbal massages, yoga as well as steam baths. After the therapy, you will feel completely relaxed and healthy, provided you follow the instructions of the resident doctor. Go for a 3 hrs
trekking inside the Periyar Wild life sanctuary go for boat cruise in the lake, Periyar Wildlife sanctuary is a best option to see the home nomadic tribes of wild elephant, boar, deer, the great Indian tiger and more.

Day 4 - Periyer to Cochin


Early in the morning, you can visit the National Park at Periyer. You could also take a boat cruise along the Periyer Lake, and if you are lucky you might just see one wild elephant! After breakfast you could visit the spice and tea plantations or maybe trek through the jungle accompanied by an escort. you will be transferred to the Railway Station or Airport. Day 01: Cochin Periyar Arrive in Cochin and proceed to Periyar by road 120 km / 05 hrs. Periyar in Thekkady district spans approximately 780 sq. km and is one of the 27 Tiger reserves in India. Herds of elephants, bison, wild bears and a variety of other wildlife are also found in profusion here. On arrival, check-in at the hotel. Evening at leisure or visit the Tribal Heritage Museum and tribal village on the periphery of the National Park. Overnight at the hotel. Day 02: In Periyar After breakfast, proceed for a boat ride on Lake Periyar. Post lunch, visit a spice plantation or take a three-hour guided trek into the forest Evening at leisure.Overnight at the hotel. Note: You may take up a tiger trail between one to three days through the Periyar forest, and the duration of your trip will extend accordingly. You can even opt for a day-long guided hiking and rafting program. Day 03: Periyar Kumarakom Depart early morning for Kumarakom by road, 185 km / 04 hours. Kumarakom is Kerala's most visited location, a clutch of islands on Lake Vembanad, and the backdrop of the Booker Prize winning novel, "The God of Small Things" Check-in at the hotel.Enjoy a sunset cruise on Lake Vembanad in the evening. Overnight at the hotel. Day 04: In Kumarakom After breakfast, visit the Kumarakom Bird Sanctuary which spans 14 acres off the banks of Lake Vembanad. Look out for waterfowls, cuckoo, owls, egrets, herons, water ducks, parrots, teal, larks, flycatchers and wood beetle. The Siberian Cranes visit the sanctuary during winter. Afternoon by 3PM leaving for Coacin Arport/ Station.
