MIKE 11 is the industry standard for simulating flow, water quality and sediment transport in estuaries, rivers, irrigation canals and other surface water bodies in many regions. The reason is simple. It provides a wealth of capabilities that span the entire range of applications - from basic routing to complex, fully dynamic modelling. Yet it remains user friendly and efficient.

MIKE 11 Modules
The computational core of MIKE 11 is the fast, efficient and robust hydrodynamic simulation engine. This is complemented by a wide range of additional modules and extensions covering almost all conceivable aspects of river modelling. HD - Hydrodynamics The hydrodynamic engine is available in four different sizes (75, 250, 450 and unlimited nodes). Each size of MIKE 11 includes:

MIKE 11 in Brief
Proven - used in hundreds of applications around the world. The de facto standard in many countries. Approved by numerous governmental organisations and bodies Extendable - modules available for virtually any type of river modelling you can envisage Efficient - most computational modules include features for auto-calibration, sensitivity analysis and uncertainty assessment Affordable - fully configurable modular structure allows you to choose the package that best suits your project budget and simulation requirements User-friendly - a logical structure and workflow, flexible data input and manipulation features, and familiar graphical tools makes it easy to learn, easy to use, easy to achieve results quickly and easy to upgrade from HECRAS models Persuasive - an impressive selection of data interpretation and visualisation tools makes it easy to generate convincing presentations for public dissemination of information.

SO - Structure Operation Simulates operational structures such as sluices, overflow and radial gates as well as pumps and reservoir releases with user-defined operating strategies. DB- Dam Break Provides complete facilities for fast and convenient definition of dam geometry, breach development in time and space as well as failure mode. Includes DAMBRK / FLDWAV compatibility switch. AUTOCAL- Automatic Calibration Allows automisation of the calibration process for a wide range of parameters, including RR parameters, Manning number, head loss coefficients, WQ parameters, etc. See Autocal description on page 35. AD - Advection-Dispersion Transport and spreading of conservative pollutants and constituents with linear decay (including heat). ST / GST - Noncohesive Sediment Transport, erosion and deposition of non-cohesive and graded noncohesive sediments, including simulations of river morphology. ACS - Cohesive Sediment 3-layer bed description, which includes quasi-2D erosion. ECO Lab - Ecological Modelling A numerical laboratory for ecological and water quality modelling. MIKE 11 Stratified Modelling vertical density differences, such as salinity or temperature in two-layer or multilayered stratified water bodies.
