.30am Focus : Listening & Speaking Subject : English Theme : World Of Knowledge Topic : Plants Learning Standard : 1.3.1 Able to listen to and demonstrate understanding of oral texts by : d) sequencing with guidance Objective : By the end of the lesson, pupils should be able to 1) rearrange the sentences to form the 3 correct paragraph with guidance. CCE : Entrepreneurship Teaching aids : Hibiscus, sentence strips, manila cards, glue. Steps : Pre-listening 1. Show different colours of hibiscus. 2. Guide pupils to talk about the flowers. Ask questions:

Eg : Have you seen this flower before? Can you name this flower? While Listening 3. Pupils listen to the text twice. 4. Ask pupils questions orally about the text. 5. Pupils are divided into 5 groups and each group will be given 3 different colours of envelope. 6. Pupils listen to the text again and at the same time they will rearrange the sentence strips to form the correct paragraph. ( Red envelope for first paragraph, yellow envelope for second paragraph and purple envelope for third paragraph) Post Listening 7. Teacher displays the actual text. 8. Each group will display their group work. 9. Evaluate the works together.

CCE : ICT Teaching aids: Power point, worksheets, word cards Steps : Pre-reading 1. Teacher shows the power point to the pupils. 2. Teacher reads the text while pupils listen.

While Reading 3. Pupils read the text from the Power point after teacher. 4. .Pupils read the text in groups and teacher check their pronunciation. 5. Drill pupils on difficult words. 6. Answer simple questions orally. Post Reading 7. Teacher distributes worksheets to each pupils. 8. Pupils answer the given questions with guidance. 9. Evaluate the works together.

CCE : Constructivism Teaching aids : worksheets, word cards Steps : 1. Teacher pastes word cards on singular and plural nouns on the whiteboard. 2. Get the pupils read the words on the board. 3. Teacher explains about singular and plural nouns.

4. Teacher assigns Throw and catch game. Teacher throws a ball to pupils randomly. The pupils who catch the ball, need to pick one word card on the board and paste the word card into the right column. (The column which is on the board) Repeat this activity until all the word cards paste on the board finish. 5. Teacher gives worksheet to each pupils. 6. Pupils will list down singular and plural nouns from the words given.

CCE : Creativity and innovations Teaching aids : Dried flowers, glue, manila cards Steps : 1. Teacher distributes the dried flowers to each pupils.( The dried flowers have been brought earlier) 2. Teacher guides pupils to put glue on a card to stick the dried flower. 3. Teacher asks pupils to paste the dried flower on the card. 4. Get the pupils to decorate their own pressed flower card.

5. Pupils will display their pressed flower card on English Corner board in the classroom.
