Jen Olsen, EΨ
VP Foundation
After graduating from Rutgers University, Jen moved to DC for graduate school at George Washington
University. Upon her arrival, so she quickly tried to connect with some DG sisters and started out as a
member of the WDC alumnae chapter as VP Finance then as VP Membership and Awards Chairwoman.
Today she is VP Foundation and if you attended the Spring Fling you got to witness first hand how amazing
she is! Thanks for all your hard work Jen!

July’s Dine Out will be at Dukem
Restaurant near the U Street Metro.
Dukem is considered by many to be
the best Ethiopian restaurant in the
city. Dukem features affordable
traditional Ethiopian cuisine which
is great for sharing! Menu and res-

Wine Tasting
Chill out with your sisters over icy
cold Spanish Roses, delicious San-
grias, and a few tapas on the side.
Together we'll learn about Roses
and how to make Sangria. This
summer's wine tasting group
event will take place at a rooftop
or patio of a metro-accessible
member's home in late July/early
August (both TBD). Participants
will need to bring wine or food to
share with your sisters. Please e-
mail wt@wdcdeltagamma.org for
more information and if you can
volunteer to host the event.

A big round of applause for local
DGs, Jill Nevius (a regular member
of Lunch Bunch) and Mary Kay
McLain Shaw! Jill and Mary Kay
co-founded the Arts in Foggy Bot-
tom Project which organized the
curated, six month Foggy Bottom
Outdoor Sculpture Exhibit in 2008.
This exhibit won the Innovation
in the Arts category of the 24th An-
nual Mayor’s Arts Awards, the most
prestigious honors conferred by
Washington, D.C. on individual art-

Arts in Foggy Bottom is a special
initiative of the Foggy Bottom
Association, an organization in
Washington, DC designed to fur-
ther the civic, cultural, social and
economic welfare of the Foggy
Bottom/West End community,
preserve and enhance the residen-
tial character of the community,
and promote historic preservation
in the area.
