PRAYER OF CONFESSION (IN UNISON) Eternal God, in whom we live and move and have our being, whose face is hidden from us by our sins, and whose mercy we forget in the blindness of our hearts: Cleanse us from all our offenses, And deliver us from proud thoughts and vain desires, That with reverent and humble hearts We may draw near to you, Confessing our faults, Confiding in your grace, And finding in you our refuge and strength; Through Jesus Christ your Son. ASSURANCE OF PARDON GLORIA PATRI 579 (Blue Hymnal) Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost; As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen, Amen.
At this time, children 9 years old and younger are invited to come to the front of the sanctuary with our volunteer leaders. The children and their leaders will worship in the chapel. They will be in "Children's Church" for the remainder of the morning and will meet parents in the social room.

WE HEAR THE WORD OF GOD

PRAYER FOR ILLUMINATION NEW TESTAMENT READING ANTHEM A Prayer for Peace O Lord, make me an instrument of thy peace, Where this is hatred, let me sow love. Where there is injury, pardon, Lord. Where there is doubt, true faith in you. Colossians 3:12-17 Beth Bowman Holy Bible, p. 191 NT Michael John Trotta, b. 1978

Where theres despair, let me sow hope. Where there is darkness, only light. Where there is sadness, ever joy. O Master, grant that I may never seek, so much to be consoled, as to console; to be understood, as to understand, to be loved, as to love with all my soul. It is in giving that we receive. It is in pardoning that we are pardoned.

HYMN 422 (Blue Hymnal) God, Whose Giving Knows No Ending APOSTLES CREED (IN UNISON)
I believe in God the Father Almighty, Maker of heaven and earth; and in Jesus Christ His only Son our Lord; Who was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried; He descended into hell; the third day He rose again from the dead; He ascended into heaven, and sitteth on the right hand of God the Father Almighty; from thence He shall come to judge the quick and the dead. I believe in the Holy Ghost; the holy catholic church; the communion of saints; the forgiveness of sins; the resurrection of the body; and the life everlasting. Amen.
