Lancaster Mennonite School's four campuses to attend classes, meet with teachers and explore Christian education in grades PreK-12. Times are 8:05 a.m. to 3:05 p.m. for LMHS and mornings only for other grades. Transportation must be arranged by parents. Oct. 20, Sun.-You are invited to attend the Mens Chorus Festival at Weaverland Mennonite Church at 6:30 p.m. Akron Mens Chorus, Mennonite Heritage Mens Chorale, the Mens Ensemble of Mennonite Childrens Choir of Lancaster & Gap Male Chorus will sing. A mass choir will be directed by Lloyd Kauffman of West Jefferson, OH. Oct. 27, Sun.-Hobby Day after church, talk to Darla Leid for more info. Dec. 9 & 10, Mon. & Tues.-You are invited to attend Old Fashioned Christmas Carol Singings led by Don Sensenig, Akron, at the 1855 Alleghany Mennonite Meetinghouse at 7 p.m. Contact Grace Sensenig (336-0009) to reserve free tickets. -There is a sunshine box in the narthex for Leticia, the 3 year old girl who had a liver transplant. -Christmas Bundles The MCC Material Resources Center is collecting Christmas bundles for distribution to children through the Spanish Mennonite Council and other urban churches in PA, NJ, NY & VA. You can help by donating the following items that make up a Christmas Bundle. The bundles should be sizes 116 and items should be of good quality. Girls: Dress, skirt and blouse, or pants and top; sweater is optional. Boys: Shirt and pants; sweater is optional. For both girl or boy bundle-Toothbrush and tube of toothpaste; Washcloth and bar of soap; Toy, appropriate for the age of the girl or boy. Wrap the entire contents in a large bath towel and close with a safety pin. Be sure to label the outside of the bundle with the size of clothing and if it is for a boy or girl. Bundles need to be dropped off at MCC's Material Resource Center by Nov. 1, 2012. Thank you for your generosity! -Missionary Messenger magazine sign up is open for names to be dropped or added. If you receive the magazine and do not wish to continue receiving it cross out your name on the list on the table in the narthex, if you do not receive the magazine -LMHS will present Jon Jory's recent stage adaptation of Jane Austen's novel, Pride and Prejudice, on Oct. 31, Nov. 1 & 2, with performances starting at 7:30 p.m. in the Fine Arts Center on the Lancaster Campus. Tickets are $5 for students, $7 for senior citizens and $8 for adults, and may be reserved by calling the box office at 299-0436, ext. 340. Discounts are available for groups of ten or more.
