    Predisposing: -Age (< 45 y/o, men; >45 women. Px age=86) -Gender(> 45, occurs more in women) -Hereditary

    Precipitating: -Occupation(tailor) -Diet ( all meat diet)

    Damage to the chondrocytes

    Degeneration of the cartilage

    Irritates synovial lining, become fibrotic

    Underlying bone unprotected

    Forms new bone (Osteophyte)

    Limits joints movement

    Sclerosis occurs

    Alteration of bony contour

    Thickening and hardening of the cartilage

    PAIN

    Blood Pressure (HPN)
