Title I Information
Leveled Literacy Intervention is being used to give students who are below grade level extra reading assistance. Lessons are given 5 days a week for thirty minutes. The lessons include rereading, phonics, vocabulary, word work, writing in response to stories, answering questions about stories and reading new books both fiction and nonfiction. Students also take books home that have been read at school for extra practice. Riley Elementary is very lucky to have two Bowling Green State University Students who are getting their Masters Degree in Reading. Ashley Snoddy and Tori Roper are here on Mondays and Wednesdays to provide reading intervention and are also working with students with Leveled Literacy Intervention.
