Using Sophocles' Antigone as a basis,
THE WAY WE WERE Gurney explores the conflict between a
professor of Classics and a Jewish female
student who strives against the warnings
of the professor to produce a modern
version of the play as her term work.
Thus she becomes another Antigone
without the tragic proportions.
Thanks to the casts and crews of The First Call: JEST's new director, Tanya
Winslow Boy and A Thousand Clowns for Meyer, is planning a production of
two more wonderful JEST productions. A Thornton Wilder's The Matchmaker, the
