From far, she saw many coconuts across the river. Unfortunately, she did not know how to swim. While thinking, she saw a crocodile lazing in the river. The monkey called out the crocodile and asked him to help her to cross the river. The crocodile was happy to oblige. However, he had a secret plan to kill the monkey then eat her heart . As they reached the river side, the crocodile suddenly caught hold of the monkeys tail. I am going to eat your heart, said the crocodile. The monkey laughed aloud. My heart is left on the coconut tree. Let me go and I shall climb up the tree to get it for you, said the monkey. The crocodile thought it was true. So, he let the monkey go to climb the tree and get it. As she was safely up on the tree, she laughed even louder at the crocodile. Oh! Mr. Crocodile, here is my heart. She threw a coconut down and the coconut landed on the crocodiles head.
