Job Profile *Job Designation: Consultant/Sr Consultant *Job Description The Consultant will have the choice to work for any one of the following consulting competencies of PwC India. The Consultant may also choose to work on more than one competency during the first year of employment (on a rotation basis) before settling on a particular competency for long term association. However, such opportunities will be subject to availability of relevant openings in the respective competencies. What you can expect as a Consultant with PwC India: As a Consultant with PwC India, you will play a key role in the engagement execution. You will be provided with varied responsibilities including client acquisition support, assisting in solution design, contributing to engagement execution as a team member and on-ground client management. We encourage our consultants to participate in senior management meetings during the course of the project delivery. Consultants are provided with opportunities to contribute to various thought leadership initiatives. Our consultants are excellent generalists and have a strong ability to work with managers with diverse backgrounds. Typically, consultants start focusing on specific industries/functional expertise as they move up the hierarchy in the firm. What we look for in our Consultants: We expect our consultants to demonstrate strong problem solving skills, excellent work ethic and an ability to work for clients across sectors. We look for candidates with a good academic background, a proven track record for pursuit of excellence and a strong ability to cope with pressure (as demonstrated by their academic, co-curricular or extracurricular successes). Strong verbal and written communication and inter-personal skills are a must. Our consultants should be ready for a fair amount of travel (within India and abroad) at

short notice. We expect our consultants to be goal orientated and to adhere to time lines with excellent outputs. What you can expect as a Senior Consultant with PwC India: As a senior consultant, you will be a vital and multi faceted resource. Typically, senior consultants are module leaders assuming responsibility for specific tasks in a large consulting program or are team leaders who are responsible for teams of one or two consultants. High performing senior consultants are also provided with opportunities to lead engagements of suitable scale and complexity. Our successful senior consultants are expected to build strong client relationships and as they progress towards assuming managerial responsibilities, they are expected to engage clients in strategic dialogues and help client personnel identify specific problems and chalk out solutions. Many a time, the senior consultants are provided with opportunities to develop new clients and contribute to the growth of the practice. What we look for in our Senior Consultants: We expect our senior consultants to have a broad range of problem solving skills. Leadership and strong communication skills are also of great importance. In addition, senior consultants need to demonstrate a practical sense of dealing with complex problems in client organisations. Our senior consultants demonstrate the ability to deal with multiple tasks and drive them to successful closure within timelines. The senior consultant should also have the drive to take up new initiatives. Extensive travel is an integral part of the job. We provide our senior consultants a wide range of learning and knowledge sharing opportunities within India and across the network of firms. Typical prior professional experience: 4 - 6 years GRID: Government Reforms and Infrastructure Management (GRID) is a Strategic Business Unit (SBU) under the Business Advisory Services line of service in PwCPL. The focus areas for this practice in terms of needs in the Government and Infrastructure Management are: PPP facilitating development using PPP mode Redefining roles focus on social sectors strengthen policy making & monitoring capability Use of technology reduce cost and improve distribution and delivery of government services Institution strengthening new statutory/disclosure requirements - need for fiscal discipline, enhancing delivery capacity of the institutions Governance - people participation & transparency Services provided by this SBUs to various clients are: Policy Formulation Institutional Strengthening Project Development Project Studies & Structuring Improvement of Operational Efficiency We work with Government Agencies, Donor Agencies, IDCs and Utilities Companies. It is a mix of public and private sector agencies.
