Title of the Programme: 1 Student I Tree By ____________________(Zhen Wen)

On the 17th May 2012, our schools Environment Club has launched a 1 Student I Tree programme at Taman Rimba. This is one of the successful programme the Environment Club has ever created. This programme did not just make Taman Rimba a greener park, it made the whole city appeared to be far more greener than before.

The Environment Club has been really fortunate. Its been able to invite the Town Council to be the co-organiser of this 1 Student I Tree programme. All the members of the Environment Club took part in this wonderful programme that is going to make the world greener and better.

The activities included in this programme are the opening ceremony and the trees planting session. During the opening ceremony, _______________________, the President of the Environment Club had delivered a very significant opening speech. _____________________ told us to pay more attention on the environmental issues today. He also said that the world is going to and in 1000 years if we do not start sacing the planet now. After that, ____________________launched the trees planting programme. 500 trees were planted in two hours and these trees made the park looked far more greener and the air seemed to be fresher. This 1 Student I Tree programme benefits the entire world. It makes the world greener. These trees will absorb carbon dioxide gas and release oxygen into the air. The air will then have more oxygen and the world can be prevented from environmental problems like green house effect. This programme also balnced the eco-system. A lot of animals are facing extinction today and we should act fast. As a saying goes, a stitch in time saves nine. This is that stitch in time that saves millions of animals from extinction.

1 Student I Tree programme also lower the temperature of the city. Besides, this programme can avoid landslide. The root of trees will hold the soil together and therefore preventing the soil from sliding down the hill. Last but no least, this programme nurture love for nature. As a whole, this is a wonderful programme that is going to provide a better tomorrow for everyone. We know that we have to act now as there is no use of crying over spilt milk.

The Environment Club would like to invite everyone living on this planet, to join us (hand in hand) on saving the Mother Earth. It doesnt matter who you are, where are you live, all it takes is to make a commitment, which you are going to save the earth. Where there is a will, there is a way. Lets do something for the future generation. Do something significant in your life because we all know, we are never living twice.
