Day 01 : Chennai - Pondicherry - Pitchavaram Chidambaram Arrival at Chennai Airport/Railway Station and departure to Pondicherry (162 kms / 3.5 hrs), visit Aurobindo Ashram, Ganesh Mandir, Beach. After lunch, proceed to Pitchavaram (70 kms) a place of rare scenic beauty with its serene Back Waters and later proceed to Chidambaram (15 kms / 1 hr), visit Lord Nataraja Temple,The cosmic dancer (Lord Siva). Overnight stay. Day 02 : Chidambaram - Vaitheeswaran Kovil - Nagore - Velankanni - Tanjore After breakfast, proceed to Tanjore (130 kms) enroute visit Vaitheeswaran Kovil, an ancient temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. Visit Nagore (Dargah), Velankanni (Roman Catholic Church). Upon arrival at Tanjore, check into hotel. Evening visit the famous Brihadeshwara Temple (built by Chola Kings). Here you can see Giant Nandi carved in a single stone, which is considered to be the second largest Nandi in India. Overnight stay. Day 03 : Tanjore Rameswaram After breakfast, proceed to Rameswaram (250 kms / 6 hrs). Visit Ramanathaswamy Temple, take bath in 22 holy wells and visit Pamban bridge. Overnight stay Day 04: Rameswaram Kanyakumari After breakfast, proceed to Kanyakumari (325 kms / 7.5 hrs) the end of land area of India, which is a meeting point of the great three Oceans ( The Arabian Sea, Bay of Bengal and Indian Ocean ). The glory of Kanyakumari is its "Sunrise" and "Sunset". Also, visit Vivekananda Rock. Overnight stay Day 05 : Kanyakumari - Suchindram - Madurai Morning enjoy Sunrise at Kanyakumari. After breakfast, proceed to Suchindram and visit Thanumalayan Temple which is unique as it is dedicated to Lord Vishnu, Lord Shiva and Lord Brahma. After lunch, proceed to Madurai. (250kms / 6 hrs). visit Thirumalai Nayak Mahal and later proceed to Kodaikanal (115 kms / 4 hrs). Upon arrival, check into hotel. Kodaikanal is one of India's most beautiful and charming hill stations.
