Typeface: Telugu MN+Braggadocio:

I choose Braggadocio typeface for the name of the artist and the year of each painting, as they are the most important content in the text illustration. I choose Telugu MN for the the name of each painting, and sub-title as it matches the Braggadocio from an artisitc perspective. As for the color, I used dark red and grey to demonstrate a sense of history.

Design Process:
1. I did extensive rearch on this artist and noticed that his work spanned throughtout the first half of the 20th century. At the same time, I realized that his style is surrealism, therefore, I want to have something real to contrast with his surrealism. This said, I came up with the idea of newspaper. Each newspaper will match the year of the painting. 2. I started assembling artpieces from Max, as well as looking for newspaper that would match the year of each painting I found. 3. Having found the paintings and newspapers, I used Photoshop to place each paiting in the newspaper that matches the year of the painting. 4. Use Illustrator to design the layout and put all elements together. 5. Refine each element using Illustrator and finalize the timeline.
