CHOIR GUIDELINES AND AGREEMENT
While this choir is a group of volunteers, there are minimum guidelines and expectations that we as a choir ask that you agree to follow: 1. ATTENDANCE: Missing more then one rehearsal may result in your withdrawal from this program. You understand and agree that even though one absence is allowed prior to November 23rd, attendance is necessary for all rehearsals. You understand that no absences with prior approval will be allowed after the 23rd of November. In the event, you are very sick, or have an emergency, these absences will not be held against you and you can continue even if they occurred after the 23rd of November. If there is an attendance issue, you agree to communicate with the director and secretary to work out a solution. BEING ON TIME: Please do your best to be on time for rehearsals. We devote about 10 minutes to warm-up exercises that are very important to building your voice for this program. Arriving late for rehearsals affects you in your learning and slows the progress of the entire group. When the orchestra arrives, we will need to be in our seats and ready to go so as not to waste time with them. Practice being on time now. DRESS CODE: While it is a challenge for any group to agree on an exact color and style, and while our dress code is a work in progress, it is being implemented to bring uniformity to our group. Putting personal opinions aside, you agree to comply with our current dress code for this concert. MUSIC SCORES AND FOLDERS: The music scores and folders are property of the Glendale Sanctuary Choir, a ministry of the Glendale Seventh-day Adventist Church. The music and folders cannot be be taken home. We have an online system in place for you to practice. (See below) Only under permission will folders be allowed to be taken home. People requesting special permission must register with our secretary and check out the folder. No music can be copied or shared with any other person or organization. Music and folder must be returned at the conclusion of the concert or at our request. ONLINE MUSIC AND CD RECORDINGS: All the Easter music scores and practice tracks are available online. This new technology really works well and allows everyone access to the music and recordings. PLEASE UNDERSTAND THAT THIS CAN NOT REPLACE REHEARSING WITH THE GROUP ON A WEEKLY BASIS. A CD of the music will be made available for you as well. To access the practice music online please visit the following link:
