October 14, 2013 Meeting

Minutes
Attendees: Adriana Hughes, Susan Newton, Theresa Mickels, Nancy Zerbonia, Nicole Campomanes, Ezzy Ozella, Marla Kunka, Mrs. Shipman, Becky Nau The meeting was opened with the Our Father and the PTC Mission Statement. We wrapped up the Otis Spunkmeyer fundraiser. Nicole Campomanes will put together a summary of the fundraiser and any changes for the future. Treasurers Report Trish provided the treasurers report to Adriana prior to the meeting. The golf outing was successful and money has been deposited. Otis Spunkmeyer has been finalized at about $6,500. The uniform sales number is not final yet, as we have not received the Sam Harris invoice as of yet. We are expecting a check from Kroger as well. Fundraising Golf Outing Adriana thanked Susan for taking on this event. The event was very successful. Susan thanked all the volunteers. The weather was perfect. We had 100 golfers, 36 hole sponsors and over 100 donors. The final profit was $11,700. It was a great social event to build relationships. We do plan to do it again next year. We are working on thank you letters and a summary of the event with recommended changes for next year. Promo Items Tervis estimated delivery is 11/20. They will not guarantee delivery date. We now have 56 orders. We are looking at selling the remainder at church and school. Bag sales continue. We will likely have left over into next year. License plate covers are in. Mrs. Shipman mentioned the possibility of a crazy bowling event available through the Chamber of Commerce. Family Night Out We have scheduled a fundraiser night at Keps on Tuesday, 11/12/13. Ten percent of the entire days income will come back to the PTC. Dine in and carry out apply. Hours are 11AM to 1AM. Julie will be putting together a flyer. We will be putting out a donation bucket at the bar. Teacher Appreciation We had planned on a class sponsored November lunch during conferences. Kristy Cape has generously offered to donate and provide the entire lunch for November. Nicole will let the assigned class know that they will no longer be providing lunch in November. We are currently reviewing the December lunch. As done in the past, we would like to make it a little more formal than other months. The PTC may decide to take this back in house.

Santa Breakfast/Secret Santa Shop The Santa Breakfast is scheduled for 12/8/13. Ezzy Ozella has a vendor picked out for the Santa Shop which will be 12/6/13 for school kids. Jenny Gibson has volunteered to set up and run the shop during the school day. We will need to make sure we have the parent volunteers for Friday and Sunday. Carnival The carnival will be 1/25/14 from 4-8. Nicole Campomanes is in the process of securing raffle prizes. She has several donors. We need to be aware of donors that have recently donated items and be sure that we are not tapping the same donors over again. Nicole is looking for a volunteer cheer. Susan Newton has volunteered to coordinate the volunteers. We approved $300 from the PTC to purchase raffle items. Heather Dozier has volunteered to help Nicole go through the games in the PTC closet. We do need a theme based on the Catholic Schools Week theme: Communities of Faith, Knowledge and Service. We discussed additional ideas, classroom baskets/art projects. We will keep this in mind, and discuss next month. Womens Candlelight Mass/Dinner Mass will be at 6:30PM on 12/5/13. Dinner will follow. This year we will be doing a soup and salad dinner with wine. We will be charging $5 for dinner, and be accepting donations for the new womens center opening next to the abortion clinic in Peoria. Adriana will be working out the details. Miscellaneous Ezzy Ozella is planning a Trivia Night at the KC Hall with a tailgate theme and table decorating contest. There will be appetizers. Food will be donated. It will begin at 6PM. You will reserve tables prior and pay at the door. There will be a few raffles. The event is scheduled for 1/11/14. The Daddy Daughter Dance will be 2/8/14, 6:30-8:30PM. Desserts will be provided. A DJ has been booked and is donating their services. Mrs. Nau has volunteer to do the picture back drop. This will be for K-8th grade. The room parents will be coordinating All Saints Day treats. The popcorn for the student Thanksgiving treat will be donated by Sunnyland Theatre. We will also be providing M&Ms with the popcorn. Mrs. Kapraun is coordinating red ribbon week. We approved a $100 donation from the PTC to support red ribbon week. Adriana reported that Family Picture Day with Kara Kamienski went well. We were blessed with a perfect day. We would like to thank Kara for the donation of her time and to the families for their participation. Families were reminded to please sign up for the parish directory pictures as well.
