Introduction
Vblock Systems releases are thoroughly tested and certified with specific software and firmware versions of each component in the Vblock System. This document lists the certified versions of components for the Vblock System 300 Release 4.0.3 that includes: Vblock System 300 model EX Vblock System 300 model FX Vblock System 300 model GX Vblock System 300 model HX

When upgrading to the current release, you must upgrade all components that are listed for the release. Vblock Systems are supported only when all components are running the certified version.

To ensure successful installation and operation of the Vblock System 300 Release 4.0.3, review the information in the Vblock Systems Release 4.0.3 Release Notes. Refer to Accessing VCE documentation.

Release certification matrix addendum

The VCE Vblock Systems Release Certification Matrix Addendum provides post-release component version information for Vblock Systems in addition to the information in the Release Certification Matrices. The addendum addresses components that need patches installed due to a bug or software issue after a Vblock System release. Refer to Accessing VCE documentation.

Support window
These certified software, firmware, and hardware versions are valid from August 2013 through November 2014. The Release Certification Matrix documents are independent of each other. Customers do not have to upgrade releases in sequential order. Customers have the option to select a valid Release Certification Matrix that best fits their requirements.

Vblock System 300 Release 4.0.3 is a maintenance release for Vblock Systems. All updates may or may not apply to the specific configuration of your Vblock System. This release has the following updates: VMware vSphere Hypervisor ESX/ESXi 5.1 was updated to 5.1 Patch 2 (Build 1157734). VCE Vision System Library was updated to 2.0.2. VCE Vision Plug-in for vCenter was updated to 2.0.0-663. VCE Vision Adapter for vCenter Operations Manager was updated to 1.0.623. Support for the Cisco Nexus 1000V (Essential Edition) Virtual Supervisor Module (VSM) and Virtual Ethernet Module (VEM) was added. RCM Content for VCE Vision Compliance Checker was added. EMC Ionix Unified Infrastructure Manager/Provisioning (UIM/P) was updated to 4.0 (Build 4.0.0.0.314). Cisco UCS Manager and components were updated to 2.1(1f).
