Sealant Backing Material and Joint Filler
Product Description
Uses Sika Backing Filler material is extruded polyethylene closed-cell foam available in boards, and strips. As a backing material (Bond - Breaker) for cold applied joint, and as a joint filler (Neoprene equivalent), due to its highly permanent elasticity, which is most efficient for these purposes. Easy to Apply. Closed Cell. No bond to most sealants. Compatible with cold applied sealants. Different thicknesses and widths available. Highly flexible & compressible. Good water resistance. Good temperature resistance.

Odour Compression Ratio Temperature Resistance Chemical Resistance None. Approx. 45% of total thickness. - 40C to + 70C. Good resistance to oil, petrol, and solvents. Non-hazardous. Non-toxic under the relevant Swiss Health and Safety Codes.
