Review our past word wall words and study the new ones below. Math- Do one session of ScootPad (On the protopage under Parents Page) Spelling- Do one session of ScootPad to practice your words. Read, then color your Book It form. Can you take an AR test on the book?

Nov 11th- Picture Retake Day- - Remember to return your previous picture package! Nov 19th-22nd- Parent-Teacher Conferences (evening conferences will be on the 21st) Nov 25th- Half-day for students due to Teachers Inservice Nov 26th- Deadline for Reflections entries (information came home) Nov 27th-29th- Thanksgiving Break- - There will be NO SCHOOL!

A big THANK YOU goes out to the many parent helpers who came and helped share our special day! the donations were plenty, and the Halloween centers were a blast! Thanks again! SCOOTPAD: The majority of you are now on ScootPad and your campers are loving this fun, new way to practice common skills. YEA! If you have not yet signed up, youll notice a small cheat card has been placed into the front cover of your childs camp folder. Please keep this card in this spot, as it will serve nicely when you go to log on. Also, you do not need to print off and send in a copy of your childs test results. I can see that from my dashboard, and boy, are the kids flying!! WANTED: A bird house to hang outside our classroom window. I have a shepherds hook I put up each year on which I hang my bird house (which broke) and a suet cake. Our campers faces really light up when were visited by one of the birds weve studied! Sweet Sentence: On Friday, we will be having a more challenging spelling opportunity for campers who pass their Wednesday pretest. On Fridays, passing campers will be asked to write the weeks Sweet Sentence. (Its a sweet sentence, because they get a sweet as they test on it! ) Website of the Week: www.abcya.com is a fun way to engage TONS of skills as students play games geared for a variety of grades. Several of them are linked to my protopage already! A cool app to download is Farfaria and it allows you to download a free book each night. You can choose to have your camper read the book, or have the book read to him/her. FUN! Centers: Weve been having a blast at camp with our centers: Popping corn and learning how it goes from producer to consumer, purchasing items from our Camp Store, taking AR tests, and more! These things cant happen, though, without your help. If you (or a grandparent/relative) would like to come in and help out with centers, wed love to have you! Just fire me a note and let me know! TABLE TALK: Name That Bird, Tech Time Reward for reaching our acorn goal, buying items from the Camp Store, the AR prizes many of your campers received for so much testsing... Also, ask your camper to recite my Hats and Mittens poem: If hats and mittens go in our sleeve
