right temperature longer so you don’t need to keep
the heater running unnecessarily.The circulation pumps
are low energy pumps and circulate the water
continuously – which is cheaper than switching on
intermittently on a timer and it keeps the water
cleaner too. Our new J400 range includes a titanium

conductor, meaning it will retain its temperature for

FILTRATION
Jacuzzi® hot tubs are fitted with a ProClear™ water
management system, which manages the flow of the
water around your hot tub. Filtration cycles can be set
to work around the clock keeping your hot tub water
clean.The larger hot tubs have 4 stage filtration
systems including water skimmer and ozonator but all
Jacuzzi hot tubs include sophisticated filtration systems
with large pleated filters that continuously work to
trap unwanted debris from the water. Filtration cycles
differ depending on range, but all boast high-volume,
low-watt circulation pumps, delivering clean water and
a low energy bill.

The seven Jacuzzi brothers emigrated to California from Italy.The brothers made great strides

Ozone is the most powerful oxidiser available. Corona
Discharge (CD) provides ozone that instantly destroys
bacteria from your hot tub water, preventing unwanted
residues and minimising sulphur odours. The ozone
systems reduce the need for chemical sanitisers and
have been designed specifically to be compatible with
our control systems. Our exclusive ozone-ready
pumping system is available for all Jacuzzi® hot tub
models manufactured from 2005 and later.

Due to the fact that hot tub water is warm, the chemical balance can alter easily,
so it is important to test your hot tub water every day and if necessary, chemically
adjust it to restore the water balance.

INTRODUCING SOME CHEMICAL TERMS BEFORE YOU GET STARTED:

Sanitisation pH - This is the term used to indicate whether the

sanitiser is chlorine.
Another popular choice is Bromine, which is less harsh
to sensitive skin and eyes. Most sanitisers are available

a slow release dispenser. Oxidiser is a natural sanitiser
based on active oxygen and some people find this non-
harmful option suits them best. It is generally
recommended that a shock dose of chlorine is
periodically used to make sure that bacteria is
controlled effectively this way.

Alkalinity - This refers to the measure of alkaline salts

Hardness - This refers to the measure of calcium
hardness affecting the balance of the water.

DAILY TESTS
1. Test for sanitiser daily and test again after use.The amount of sanitiser needed will vary
depending on the size of the hot tub, number of bathers and the temperature of the water.
2. Always check the pH levels – if the pH is incorrect (too alkaline or too acidic) it can lead to
discomfort and poor disinfection.

water clean and bacteria free. Chlorine is a strong
sanitiser recommended for regular hot tub use.
JACUZZI OXIDISER

Use Jacuzzi® Oxidiser (Non Chlorine) as a basic
sanitiser to keep your hot tub water free from
bacteria. It can also be used as a shock dose with
other sanitisation. Jacuzzi® Oxidiser is based on active
oxygen, a natural sanitiser. It is still recommended that
a little Chlorine or Bromine, used as a shock dose, is
periodically used to keep bacteria away.
JACUZZI® BROMINE TABLETS
Use Jacuzzi® Bromine Tablets to keep your hot tub
water clean and bacteria free. Bromine is less harsh on
sensitive skin and eyes, but is also an effective sanitiser.
Tablets must always be used with a dispenser.

JACUZZI® NO FOAM
Cosmetics, oils and various forms of pollution all contribute
to the production of foam within a hot tub when air is being
introduced. Jacuzzi® No Foam can be used as a weekly
treatment to prevent foam from starting.
