ROOM ALLOCATION COTTAGE top floor 2-bedrooms bottom floor 1 bedroom BARN Rm1 Rm2 Rm3 Rm4 BUNKHOUSE Rms1&2 (x4)(x4) OCCUPANT Mike L./Mike T. Emma NOTES

Shiftable: if, e.g., one person can only sleep alone then the other can move to the Bunkhouse. Please tell me now, as anyone moving to the Bunkhouse will have to bring their own bedding! YOU NEED TO TAKE YOUR OWN BEDDING for the very lovely bunkhouse (I have therefore assigned those people who I know are travelling by car and can do this) Arrange yourselves as desired Rowan/Stuart/Paul B./Rory between the two rooms, each with 4 bunk-beds in

Andrew/Hal Lev/Tom Matt/Peter Ralph/David O.

MONEY Everyone has paid 80, thanks! I hope this may cover everything, including food & electricity, but please be prepared to pay maybe 10 - 20 more if required. The final cost will not be known until the end as we have not yet bought the food, and as the cost will change depending on how many people sleep in the bunkhouse (which is an extra 12/person/night this cost will be spread among all of us)

SITTING If you have them and can transport them, bring your own zafu & zabuton (cushion & mat) with you. We will bring 8 or so extra sets from Bristol. People not used to sitting especially over 3 days - should note that pain in sitting is often simply caused by sitting too low. If you raise your bum by putting an extra layer under your cushion by taking a block of foam or the like something fairly solid is best - then you sit more comfortably. FOOD Food will be vegetarian Organic/Vegan. Special requirements, please inform us NOW! Otherwise theres enough choice to pick and choose.

SILENCE We have not generally, I believe, held silent retreats, but said instead that there is no necessity to talk. Dont talk if you dont want to. We also usually assign quiet areas where people agree not to talk SAMU (work practice, or jobs) There is a formal work period each day (see itinerary). What else needs to be done gets done by a rota arrangement either you sign up for a slot or you are assigned to a slot to help cook, wash up, wait upon table etc. KIT-LIST (not listing the obvious, just the un-obvious!) DONT FORGET: Towel/toilet kit incl. toothbrush/toothpaste etc Sleeping bag or etc if youre sleeping in the Bunkhouse (see room allocation) Money/cheque book Zafu/zabuton (see above) Something warm to sit in: the Zendo is heated from above, so the temperature can vary. Cerrig Llywddion have recently bought insulated mats which will go under our mats as an extra layer. Change of clothes for outside samu (work period) sturdy boots/old workclothes/work-gloves/fleece/waterproof etc Cerrig will provide equipment ps it is Mid-Wales and it is November take lots of layers! TALKS This is not a lead sesshin (there is no retreat leader), this is a Dogen Sangha communal retreat. Experienced practitioners will host the talk sessions each day
