TODAYS KEY BIBLE PASSAGES: 2 Corinthians 9:6-15 (ESV)

6 The point is this: whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. 7 Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. 8 And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having all sufciency in all things at all times, you may abound in every good work. 9 As it is written, He has distributed freely, he has given to the poor; his righteousness endures forever.

The Generosity Factor

! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !

GET CONNECTED! The Get Connected form in the bulletin is for you to ll out and place in the offering basket after the message. Let us know you were here! Our offering goes to support the ministry of the gospel locally through Creekstone and Campus Outreach, regionally through our church planting partnerships, and globally thorough the missionary families we support in India and Africa. Your giving is making a difference toward the ripple effect of grace! THE GENEROSITY FACTOR Money is not just a secular, nancial issue; it is a profoundly theological, spiritual issue. Therefore, we are taking six weeks to explore The Generosity Factor, a sermon series through Nov. 24 that will help us discover how Gods view of money and possessions really can revolutionize our lives. COMMUNION Communion, also called the Lords Supper and the Eucharist, is a unique opportunity to remember the life, death, resurrection and future return of Jesus. Those who partake are reafrming their faith in a public way, saying, Jesus is my sin-bearing, righteousness-providing substitute. Since Jesus has proven his commitment to me as my Savior, I re-commit myself to following him as my Lord. Children who have not yet made a profession of faith before the ordained leadership of a local church are encouraged to join their parents at the table, but to refrain from taking the elements until they are joyfully admitted by the elders upon their profession of faith in the substitutionary work of Jesus. PARENTING SEMINAR ! NEXT SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 17 Next Sunday, Nov. 17, Kristy and McKay Caston will be leading a parenting seminar at the Dahlonega Marketplace from 5:30-7:00 p.m. This free event is open to anyone in the community. So, feel free to invite friends. PLEDGE SUNDAY ! NOVEMBER 24 At the conclusion of our present sermon series, on Sunday, November 24, everyone committed to supporting the mission of the gospel through Creekstone will be asked to make a pledge toward what they intend to give toward the mission in 2014 as God provides. This will help us plan effectively for stewarding Gods resources as we prepare for particularization. Envelopes will be provided. Please be in prayer and discussion with your family as we approach this special time of worship together. CREEKSTONE COUNSELING Did you know that Creekstone has a counseling ofce? Dr. Jeff Stull meets with clients at the Creekstone ofce on Fridays. For more information and/or to set up an appointment, email Dr. Stull at accessgrace@gmail.com. GRACEKIDS! GraceKids is a teaching environment during the morning service that is designed for children ages 3 through 5th grade. Children who wish to participate in GraceKids will be dismissed from the service just before the sermon. Parents may pick up their children after the service. THE SUNDAY NIGHT FELLOWSHIP ! NEW LOCATION! The Sunday Night Fellowship for college-age folks meets on Sunday evenings from 5:30-6:30 at Dorks Books. Join us for a great time of worship, fellowship and study. Dinner is provided! CAMPUS OUTREACH Creekstone is an enthusiastic partner with Campus Outreach at UNG. For more information and/or to get involved, please contact Campus Director, Jeremy Moore, at rjmo521@gmail.com.

10 He who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will supply and multiply your seed for sowing and increase the harvest of your righteousness. 11 You will be enriched in every way to be generous in every way, which through us will produce thanksgiving to God. 12 For the ministry of this service is not only supplying the needs of the saints but is also overowing in many thanksgivings to God. 13 By their approval of this service, they will glorify God because of your submission that comes from your confession of the gospel of Christ, and the generosity of your contribution for them and for all others, 14 while they long for you and pray for you, because of the surpassing grace of God upon you. 15 Thanks be to God for his inexpressible gift!!

THE BIG IDEA: ________________________________________________________________________ MY NOTES

! ! ! ! !
QUESTIONS FOR REFLECTION & DISCUSSION
1) 2) 3) 4) 5) Why is it important to see yourself as primarily a receiver, rather than an earner or deserver? How is generosity a faith venture? Watch The Miracle in Franklin (4:45) at www.mckaycaston.com and consider what it would look and feel like to be on both the giving and receiving end of the miracle. What nancial need (regardless of how small) can you meet for someone else this week? Why might this be more important for you as the giver than for the recipient? Why can we never out-give God?
