Chrissy Wiatrowski June 5, 2013 To Whom It May Concern: I am a National Board Certified teacher at Auburn Elementary School in Riner, Virginia. I have been teaching for eight years in the elementary school setting. I am writing this letter to recommend Ms. Beth Harris for a teaching position with Montgomery County Schools. Although I have known Ms. Harris for a short amount of time, I have worked with her many times since January. She has been a substitute for special education teachers and aids that work in my room, as well as for myself on occasion. During the times that I have worked directly with Ms. Harris, I have found her to be dependable, hard-working, and flexible. She is very confident in her ability to teach children and is able to maintain complete control of all situations while keeping her composure. Ms. Harris is a highly motivated, self-starter which she demonstrated each time she worked at AES. Even when she had a break or down time on the schedule given to her, she would go around to classrooms to see if she could help in any way. I found that when she was my substitute, she was diligent in completing what I left for the students to do throughout the day. She was able to successfully manage the classroom and she left a detailed reflection of the day for my return. I am very comfortable asking her to teach my class any time I need to be absent. Ms. Harris would be a tremendous asset to any school and has my highest recommendation. If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to call me. Sincerely, Chrissy Wiatrowski, NBCT 3rd grade teacher Auburn Elementary School 704-244-9615
