To stay safe when out late: DONT walk alone, especially at night. DONT talk on your cell phone while using your bike. DONT take shortcuts through alleys. NEVER LEAVE PERSONAL PROPERTY UNATTENDED OR UNSECURED

Many thefts occur because they are crimes of opportunity. Dont get distracted and leave your belongings containing valuable property or information unattended. Most common places where thefts occur are libraries, res halls, classrooms, cafeterias, bleachers, locker rooms. Reduce your chance of becoming a victim of theft by: Taking your property with you. Using anti-theft devices such as laptop cable locks. Avoiding allowing others to follow you inside buildings. Always locking your room door after leaving.

PREVENT BICYCLE THEFT

Always lock your bicycle to a bike rack. Always lock the frame of your bicycle, not just the tire.
