Holidays, which are meant to be days of celebration, often turn into days of stress. One family member may become offended by something said or unsaid, or by things done or not done. A small misunderstanding can quickly grow into bickering among the entire family. At times such as those we would do well to recall the wise teacher whose method of dealing with slights or insults was to let them pass. He said, I have only one skin which covers me very well. Operation Christmas Child Week Nov. 1825 There is always a need for help during this week at the Collection Center:
FREE Community Thanksgiving Day Meal 11am2pm

We need kitchen help, servers & clean-up during and after the meal. We also need turkeys (by 1st week in November) and desserts donated (day before or day of). WLBC Praying for...QUILOMBOLAS OF BRAZIL


Quilombolas of the Tocantina region of Para are being engaged with the Gospel. Four partner Brazilian Baptist Churches are regularly conducting Bible studies in seven quilombos (communities), with an expanding vision of engaging the dozens of others nearby. Please pray as R and J work this month to assist these partners in seeing how they can move from where they are to church using chronological Bible storying.

Even permanent supper listers need to sign-up for this Tuesday Night Thanksgiving Meal. Poor Mans Dinner-$5.50pp Pinto Beans Ham Fried Potatoes Cornbread Desserts *Sign-up on insert or call the office.
