You can be a photographer, too!

Photography Ideas:

Set up your favorite things like a still-life display and take a photo. Take photos of things that are the individual colors of the rainbow. Print them out and create a mosaic rainbow to decorate your wall. Take close-up photos of things and ask others to guess what they might be. Take photos of a person showing different emotions: happy, surprised, sad, angry, confused, sleepy, etc. Try taking photos of things from different angles. Notice how the object looks different depending on the angle. Take photos of people acting out verbs to help with vocabulary: jumping, sleeping, eating, brushing teeth, playing a sport, just to name a few.

Arnold Newman was born in New York City, and grew up in Atlantic City and New Jersey. As a boy, Arnold loved art! Although his familys business was not doing well, his parents encouraged his passion.

As a photographer, Arnold Newman was asked to take photos for magazines such as Life, Newsweek, and Time.

What is a portrait?
A portrait is simply a picture of a person. Arnold Newman is best known for his environmental portraits. This means that he liked to take photos of people in their own surrounding. Arnold also said that the portrait is like a biography, Its purpose is to inform now and to record for history.

Arnold photographed presidents such as Dwight D. Eisenhower and Richard Nixon.

Leonard Bernstein was a conductor and worked with many prestigious orchestras including the London Symphony Orchestra and Israel Philharmonic Orchestra. Find the baton.

Arnold wrote Xs for the ones he didnt like. He used check marks for the ones he wanted to keep.

A conductor needs to be familiar with many different instruments. How many instruments can you find? If Arnold wanted to cut or crop a photo, he drew a box around it.

Leonard was also a great composer. He wrote original music for ballets, operas, symphonies, and much more. Find the sheet music and rows of seats for a choir.
