On 7 November 2012, the owner of the Twitter account @7areghum, a cyber vigilante reportedly aligned to the authorities in Bahrain, posted on his Twitter timeline the names of 31 citizens whom he stated will have their citizenship revoked. Approximately 20 minutes later, the governmentissued a statement with the same list conrming the revocation of their citizenship.
