School/Instructional Reports (Olivia Adams) A. School updates Donation to the school via trust, told not see any money for a few years. First donation today, check and original class photographs from Walgrove. Richard Landau (grew up on Stanwood) had such fond memories of Walgrove. First need is classroom chairs for the school. Write a letter from the kids to the executor who is his best friend. New focus on common core offers latitude to help teach the children do the reasoning they need to do and develop the ability to read and write. Put something together on Common Core Standards for the Parents. B. SSC/ELAC/LSLC Updates No updates III. Officer Reports A. Co-Presidents (Julie Dair and Brandy Oeser) a. Valet Drop-Off, Teacher Project Assembly Stats from Valet Drop off, first day 20 kids, 15 cars. Monday 36 cars, 46 kids. Make a flyer to get people to continue. Survey to go out to parents Teacher Project Assembly still trying to brief the teachers next Tuesday. B. VP Fundraising (Julie Dair and Brandy Oeser, pro tem) B. Co-VPs of Hospitality (Toni Vera-Martinez and Kelly Robinson) Thanks to all who have brought food. C. VP Room Parent Coordination & Communications (Betsy Carver) Yahoo group needs some more people, we need to recruit them. Email to the room parents with three links, the blog, yahoo and the newsletter. Work to incorporate more use of Sign Up Genius. Issue with reaching Spanish speaking parents, some ideas are to work with ELAC. Use Blanca to help out she has hours. Julie, Brandy, Liesle and Betsy to work this out. E. Secretary (Miriam Sharman) F. Treasurer (Katka Werth) Pro Bono legal clinic via work and they provided a review of our documents. There are some areas we can improve. G. Controller (Cindy Minor) IV. Committee Updates (Brandy Oeser) A. Library Committee: Michelle Dean, Anne Tierney, Dana Tasker No updates B. Publications Committee: Caroline Diaz and Dana Tasker Still collecting money, 568 bucks cash C. Fundraising Committee: a. Annual Fund: Akua Owusu-Ansah, Leisle Bartley, Patty Jung Annual Fund right now through June we have been pledged $55,000, we have collected $21,000. Should have $26,000 at the end of the month. Only 96 kids have given and a very low participation rate, so we will have a calling campaign. b. Sees and Innisbrook: Kathy Smith, Francesca Forcucci 10k of Sees and 7k of Innisbrook, we receive a cut. c. Square 1 Art: Lisa Kantor

Due Friday d. Ralphs Community Card Program: Brandy Oeser and Lynn Jones Went well e. Walgroovy Gatherings: Toni, Sarah, Lisa, Kelly, Caroline and Clare Had three this month and brought in $2,400. Olivia suggested a party book where you pay $10 and something fun happens after school where they watch a movie. Olivia and Ann Chlopecki to talk to the teachers. f. Dine-Outs: Nicole Maharaj Almost at $500 for dine outs g. Ikea Fundraiser: Julie No update D. Grant & Business Task Force: Sarah Reimers and Lisa Tauscher E. Green Team: Clare Carey and Denise Bell Master Gardener, 1st third and fifth grade, could take on more if the 4th grade is interested. Need more volunteers. Need to fix irrigation. November 16th is all prep, moving the dirt. Bring a shovel, December 7th is the planting day. F. Arts Committee: Lynn Jones and Kelly Robinson a. Kelly Robinsons Proposal Workshop for musical theatre only $500 to cover all materials. Will be posted for FOW and will be voted on as with all budget items. G.
