This will turn to Prevent Hurtle Closed and the "C is OFF. #. The mechanic and motorman grease all the raising sheaves. They grease and turn all the sheaves that can be turned. They make sure each grease nipple is taking grease or they change it. $. %emove the catwalk used for holding the blocks. &. 'nstall the front spreader to the sub. (. tand and pin the front raising frames of the substructure. )se one crane and sling to the pick up lugs or around the sheave. Pick up on the frame and it will drag along the sub into place. *ake sure the forklift is standing by to assist with the pinning. The forklift can push the legs in. Pin both sides. +. %emove the sling with a man in the snorkelift. ,. %aise and pin the other side. -. The mechanic changes the hydraulic lines over to the cylinders for the sub. The cylinders are e.tended prior to raising the floor to help let the floor come into the pinning position softly. /gain, the mechanic runs the hydraulics and the TP will signal both the driller and the mechanic 0. et the raising sheaves on the floor at hole center. %emove the keeper bolts 1rods2. 1The plates are only for holding the sheaves in the transport skid, so leave them off until removing the sheaves once the floor is pinned to the sub.2 3. "ring the blocks down and pin the raising sheaves to the blocks. #4. tring the floor raising bridle lines through the raising sheaves and pin them. )se the air hoist and a sheave to pull the line over the sheaves and pin them to the opposite side. ##. Put the keeper bolts back in over the sheaves. #$. %emove the air hoist and pin it to the transport skid. 't needs to come off to put in the floor plates after raising and pinning. #&. Pick up on the blocks to take the slack out of the lines. #(. The TP and driller checks that all is well.

#+. *ake sure there is nothing to interfere with the back dog house stairs. 5hen the floor goes up, the stairs go up and roll in at the bottom. 'f this is not checked, you will have to stop the rig to clear the way, or you may do some damage. #,. 6old a safety meeting. 6ave some one make sure the sheaves are turning for the bridle line. Go over the driller7s duties and how to hit the emergency brakes if there is a draworks failure. The mechanic runs the hydraulics for the cylinders. The derrickman and one floorman put on safety harnesses to be ready to pin the floor to the raising legs. 8eep all unnecessary men off the floor. #-. 8nock the ( pins out at the back of the sub. #0. The driller follows the normal procedure to raise the blocks. The driller watches the drill line and keeps it at a constant speed, not too fast. The men below stand back as far as possible and watch for problems. The TP stays on the floor to make sure all is well. 6e signals the driller to slow down as they reach the pinning point and has the mechanic start to let the cylinders in. #3. Pull the floor up to the pinning point. $4. The men climb over the side and stay secured. They will need double lanyards. They work in the platform and pound in the pins. The TP signals the driller to come in and the mechanic to let in or the opposite to line up the holes for pinning. $#. 9ower the blocks and set the raising sheaves into the carrier. %emove the two keeper bolts. $$. 'nstall the front floor pieces and the back one. Put in all handrails. $&. 'nstall the air hoists. $(. )npin the bridle lines and use the two cranes to lower them into the sub and pin them by the derrick stools. Put in the floor plates to cover the hole ne.t to the stools.
