Sources of law can be divided into two; written and unwritten law. Discuss the sources of unwritten law. (25 marks)

QUESTION 2 a) Ah Chong, a government officer was transferred to Sabah. While on holiday in Kuala Lumpur he met Susan, a teacher and fell in love with her. Subsequently the couple got married and Ah Chong promised to give a monthly allowance of RM500 to Susan as she was unable to obtain a transfer and accompany him to Sabah. However, Ah Chong never kept his promise. Susan now wishes to sue Ah Chong. Advise Susan. (15 marks) b) Explain any two (2) examples of remedies available under the law of contract. (10 marks) QUESTION 3 Explain the circumstances under which an agency may be terminated. (25 marks) QUESTION 4 Discuss the remedies available to the parties for breach under a contract for sale of goods. (25 marks) QUESTION 5 Answer the following, treating each part independently: a) Ani's husband, Osman, bought a car on hire purchase by getting a loan from Syarikat Kewangan Maju. The agreement was for a period of 48 months with a monthly instalment of RM520. After paying for a period of 24 months, Ani's husband suddenly died. Can Ani proceed with the hire purchase agreement? (8 marks) b) What happens if Osman does not wish to continue with the hire purchase agreement? What should he do? (8 marks) Can Hamidon, Osman's friend, take over the hire purchase agreement when Osman is no longer interested in continuing with the hire-purchase agreement? (9 marks)

The objectives and effects of a crossing on a cheque. (25 marks) QUESTION 7 Fakhrol and Fakhri have been operating a company selling water dispenser since 1979. However, after 10 years in a partnership, they decided to form their own business. Advise them on how they can terminate their partnership as provided under the Partnership Act 1961. (25 marks)
