News From Room 207

Week of 11/18/13
Our Grandfriends Lunch was a huge success. I loved seeing so many smiling faces and I would like to send out a huge thank you to everyone who helped out with this meaningful event. I would also like to share that our class successfully planted over 200 bulbs on Friday morning. We are looking forward to seeing the many new flowers in the Owls nest this spring. The Chorus Concert is Monday night at 7:00pm. I am looking forward to seeing you all there. Health folders came home last week. The Health exam is on Wednesday. A study guide is in the folder. The Health folders must be back in school for Wednesdays class. Additionally, your children have their States and Capitals test on Thursday. Homework will be reduced this week to be sure your children have enough time to study for both tests. This week, Spring Street School will be taking part in this years Corridor Nine (Westboro, Northboro, Southboro, Shrewsbury and Grafton) annual food drive to benefit local food banks. During the holidays, food donations are especially needed to help families in our local area. 4th grade will be collecting rice products, tuna fish and soups. Any nonperishable food items will be accepted. Next Monday, we will have our Metric Olympics. We are looking for 4 parent volunteers to help with this fun event. Please let me know if you are able to help out. Warmly, Sandra Travers
