s to exercise your creative instincts Richard Branson EBX Web Services vote via CITY Newspaper: There was some discussion and questions about the EBX web services offered through City Newspaper and it was unanimously approved to move forward with using this services to develop and run our web needs, including a website. Jay Polston will head up this area and if anyone is interested in assisting in this they should contact Jay directly. Citizens Bank Development Series Promotion: Trifolds and posters were distributed for the Fall Citizens Bank Development Series. Members are encourage to not only attend but to invite perspective members as well as those contemplating starting a new business. These workshops are open to anyone and although RSVPs are not required they are highly recommended. These are seen as a value to being a member of the MDBA. Circulation of the MDBA Generic Banners: We have two large horizontal banners (with grommets) that could be displayed at business and events to promote the Association. Members interested in displaying one or both of these banners at their business or events contact Jay. Food Truck Rodeos: August 28th will be the next Food Truck Rodeo. Volunteers should contact John Urlaub at Rohrbachs. Go Around and Sharing: Bill shared that the South Wedge-Ucation Event Thursday September 13th from 5-8pm. South Wedge-Ucation is FREE and open to the public, and is an especially good time for local college students. Why's that? The first 250 students to show up with valid college IDs will get FREE goody bags stuffed with awesome swag. Juan let us know that the Annual Spanish Festival that was scheduled for Sunday September 1 is postponed and he will be providing new information in the near future. Andy told us that Artist Row will be Sunday September 15. Jim gave us the dates for the following events; Festival of Food Monday, September 16th 69pm, Rochester Public Market, 280 N. Union Street, Rochester. Festival of Food is the largest independent tasting event in Upstate New York. More than 100 local restaurants, breweries, wineries, caterers, specialty food purveyors, bakeries and farms will offer up delicious food and drink. Guests will sample the best in the region. Proceeds benefit Foodlink and our mission to

provide hunger relief. Tickets are $50 in advance, $60 at the door. Womens Health Screening Fair at the Market Saturday September 17, 9am 1pm. John is still connected to a group learning about the SALT District in Syracuse. The SALT District is a project of the Near West Side Initiative, Inc. aimed at creating a new epicenter of artistic and cultural development in the Syracuse and Central Upstate New York area. Jay shared that the Carlson MetroCenter YMCA has just upgraded its Strength Training area with new Cybex equipment. Jason was introduced as our newest member from Black Button Distillery.
