Jaiminis Chara Dasha

My Approach Part 2 By K.N.Rao, India.

ust as you begin to grow mature you will learn that you have to avoid discussing astrology with an astro-neophyte as much as the dogmatic pandit who argues that his interpretation of a shloka from a Jyotisha book or even a sutra alone is correct. Challenge him, if you are in a mood to argue with him, to show the correctness of his interpretation on ten horoscopes and he will run away but become your enemy for the rest of your life. On such occasions remember God and Oliver Goldsmith both. Every absurdity has a champion to defend it. Oliver Goldsmith Remember Oliver Goldsmith again If you were to make little fishes talk, they would talk like whales. Simhastha Brihaspati Do not accept any interpretation given blindly as for example in Muhurtha Samhitas, Simhastha Brihaspati or Jupiters transit in Simha is forbidden for marriages in some muhurta books. Late Sri S.K.Kelkar did some work on it, being a suave non-traditionalist, found that marriages done in this period were just like any other marriages and that the

He is considered as the one who showed for the first time exhibited in astrology what was termed spell bounding writing styles in Jyotish, using narratives with top class jyotish content, a style now adopted by many over the decades. promise in the birth horoscope alone showed correct results. I got done a larger research by asking seven women astrologers, who had collected one hundred and sixty seven horoscopes, to produce a large research, the biggest on the subject till date and they were amused to find that there was no terror in Simhastha Brihaspati marriages. Some of the marriages which were three decades old were very happy ones. The need to do this research arose because this is the only muhurtha I have seen which is not universal but relates only to the territory between Godavari and Ganga. One astrologer argued with me and said that all gods (remember that it is said that Hindus have 33 crore gods) go away to south India and do not remain in the north at all. I, in turn asked him if the railway minister of India spent sleepless nights during this period when Jupiter was in Simha. The panchanga (almanac) makes ignore these researches and continue to frighten people with the fictitious results of marriages performed when Jupiter is in Simha which occurs every twelve years. When these untested dogmas become source of fright, astrology ceases to be the super science it is and, becomes a superstition. It is so with shlokas and sutras also. Do not accept them blindly as we do not know what are genuine and what are interpolated. Make your own bold research hoping that someday some wise astrologers will see the utility of this for the modern age. Tradition should be respected not as a dogma but with malleable intelligence. The aim should be to bring in liberal elitism without violence to scientific and acceptable interpretation of rich astrological tradition of ours given by wise pundits like Madhura Krishnamurthy Sastri and men of his caliber. Working sincerely and most scientifically only one can see the extraordinary beauty of astrology of Hindus. Let me give on instance which shows timing without embarrassing the Indian Police Service officer, in service, whose wifes horoscope is being discussed. A police officer Ajay Kashyap (IPS) posted in Delhi was selected for a prestigious job in UNO in 2010 as I had predicted, but he was not being relieved by the authorities in Delhi including the Lt. Governor because of the Commonwealth Games in October 2010. His wife, an astrology student in the Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, asked me and I told her that according to her horoscope, she would be out of India by 17 August 2010, CWG or no CWG. I had to devote some time to calculate it which is a tedious task. She wrote to me an email which I reproduce here editing out her id. From: @mail.com >

To: knrao@.com Subject: Accurate prediction of Shri K N Rao Date: Thu, 12 Aug 2010 22:17:41 IST Pranam There was considerable uncertainty about my husband's movement from India on account of his posting abroad. This dilemma was posed to Shri K N Rao our guru, a few weeks ago. On the basis of his analysis of my patri alone, he predicted that we would move from India to the United States on the 17th of August 2010. This was at a time when clearance from the Government seemed difficult, if not remote, in view of the forthcoming Commonwealth Games to be held in New Delhi in October 2010, and the critical position held by my husband. However suddenly the denials of senior ministry officials were overruled and Government approvals came through. Amazingly, our date of journey is exactly as predicted by Shri K N Rao Sir. This is a remarkable prediction made by Shri K.N.Rao, based solely on the study of the spouse's i.e. my, patri (chart). With warmest regards Archna Chart 1: Archana, 12th Dec 1965, 08: 13 am, Mirzapur, UP, India. Asc 18Sg59

Let me give instances from the horoscope of Indira Gandhi how chara dasha shows some events in her life to the nearest date. In the case of Mrs. Archana, see the chart and the DK in Mithuna and it is Mithuna dasha running which is favourable for her husband. When she asked the question it was the antardasha of Kanya from where the DK is in the tenth house of elevation about which I had given prediction to her husband earlier last year (2009) Now the pratyantara dasha running was of Karka from where DK is in the twelfth, Mithuna. This pratyantara dasha was ending on 17 August 20101. It was easy to predict that by 17 August 2010 her husband would be out of India. She acknowledge it through email and told me that the objections of the police commissioner Delhi, Mr. Dadhwal and, of the Lt.Governor, were overruled by the Home Ministry which she had not expected and when the orders came, she booked tickets for New York for 17 August. This is the beauty of Jaimini and the Chara Dasha I have researched on, not caring for obscurantist pandits who, knowing English, reel off their superstitions in the internet forums and also in astrological journals. Left to themselves, they cannot prove the validity of their own interpretation on one hundred horoscopes at least. Some of them will come out with fanciful theories by saying that Shastyamsha, (D 60) is used to see past birth and some other vargas like D 40 from what you inherit from your mother and D 45 for what you inherit from your father with the fullest confidence that Maharshi Parashara will not come down to the earth and complain about being maimed. These are fanciful theories which can

never find any support from available texts of Parashara and cannot be proven on hundreds of horoscopes. I have lot of feedback from people to whom I have given consultation which I cannot disclose and betray confidences. It is better to say that you have an astrological observation and request other astrologers to test it on horoscopes in their possession to help astrology progress with the astrologer remaining in the background. An intelligent and open minded lover of astrology reads books with an open mind, tries the techniques given and then forms his opinion. Here is someone who calls my method controversial but still has something complimentary to say because he is intelligent, not stupid; open minded not a dogma filled dullard. I am editing out his id. From: Acyutananda Dasa <a@com> To: <knrao@.com> Subject: Love your books! Please give me a mantra Date: Tue, 28 Nov 2006 06:51:41 IST Dear Sri Sri KN Rao Srila Gurudeva, I recently went to the Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan in Delhi where you teach. At the bookstore I purchased nearly all of your books! (Everyone that was available to say the least). I love your landmark work on Chara Dasha, and though it is quite a controversial work based on other treatises which I have read on the subject, I do appreciate the scientific aspect you throw into your work. Thats what makes it credible, reliable, and authentic. Meaning therefore, that your books are the only ones which are useful and genuine on the market. 2 I tell students not to accept blindly what is given in the translations of Brihat Parashara etc. not to be overwhelmed by the pandit who rattles off lot of gibberish in Sanskrit but knows no astrology of practical use to us in the day to day life. There are two types of astrologers who are the main menace, first the greedy money earning one who can adopt any trick to cheat you and the other who poses to be a scholar and misleads you with his obstinate insistence on wrong interpretation, wrong approach, primitive approach and abysmal record of predictive astrology. A well placed woman student who had topped in our jyotisha examination and is now in quite a high post wrote to me the following which I am reproducing again editing out her id. Subject: thank you Date: Mon, 27 Jun 2005 12:51:04 IST Dear Sir I thought I should thank you for grooming me to handle the position I do today. Your research pattern is so well thought out that it can beat even the best of institutes. I interviewed the director of Management Development Institute, Dr Pritam Singh (He got a padma shri in 2003) and I discovered that you have been grooming me in the same way to reach that mental and physical level. Today, I feel I am more equipped to handle life as I read and write better and am more discriminating in my associations. So I guess, all's well that ends well. Ambica Ambica Gulati 3 I am quoting these letters, among hundreds I have, only to show that unless you have healthy respect, with healthier skepticism, for the pandits, you cannot break new ground and rescue astrology from its primitive state in which it still thrives. When students bring instances of shocking, primitive meaning of some shlokas from jyotisha books, I tell them to observe these in many horoscopes and see if it is fitting into the pattern of life as it is in twenty first century. Otherwise you will go back to primitive astrology because publishers all over the world know how to sell the rubbish they publish. And there are writers who pay for publishing their books which suits many publishers. There are writers who tell the publishers that they will not demand any royalty. The truth is that they are more anxious to announce their arrival through dubious methods. But you will not easily come across writers who can synthesize these and put them in proper perspective for modern life. Ask yourself, as a very intelligent woman student of ours, asked me after reading a latest version of Phaldeepika and reading the results of the seventh house and planets placed there, if all this was to be accepted as gospel truth. For some women the seventh house is entire horoscope.

Placement Of Planets In 7h Wrt Marriage Sun in 7H: He suffers mental tension, physical pain and distress from the wife. Moon in 7H: Moon in the 7H gives ample conjugal comforts and pleasure. The wife is very charming with a chiseled physique. Mars in 7H: He may lose conjugal happiness and live a disharmonious married life. Mer in 7H: 7th Mercury would tend to bestow a wise and pretty wife to the native. Jupiter in 7H: Jupiter in 7H bestows a beautiful and sagacious wife. Venus in 7H: Venus in 7H gives a pretty wife but along with comes an almost insatiable sexual appetite which may lead to extra marital affairs and marital disharmony with eventual dire consequences of separation or even divorce. Sat in 7H: Sat in the 7H gives a serious wife of few words, who is often sad looking and disappointed. This increases the possibility of separation and marital disharmony. Rahu in 7H: Rahu directly controls the serpent power hidden in a man. Rahu is impulsive and must work through the extremes. Rahu in 7H can either inflame the passion in a man to a point of instability or may extinguish the sex flames completely - either of the way is not good for conjugal bliss. Ketu in 7H: Ketu in 7H spoils the conjugal harmony, creates all kinds of fears. Compiled by Anju Sachdeva Taken from 'Phaldeepika' by Sage Mantreshwara translated by U K Jha Will you accept the view of Mantreshwara or modify it and take a more composite view in the sociological context of modern life? UK Jha has only translated, contributed nothing original, not being a commentator.

But you will not easily come across writers who can synthesize these, after deep research, and put them in proper perspective for modern life. 1.) Take up the horoscope of Amitabh Bachchan with Rahu in the seventh house with no aspect of any planet and association with any planet. In interpreting it, remember that he belongs to the glamour world. 2) Laura Bush 4 Nov 1946, 18:00:00, Midland, Texas, USA with six planets in the seventh and eighth house and remember that her husband continued to maul English language even after becoming a born again Christian. 3) Indira Gandhi and her ruined married inspite of Moon being in the seventh house. 3) Devegowda 18 May 1933, 10.09 Hassan Karnataka with Karka Lagna and Saturn in the seventh house. 4) Bush Sr. 12 June 1924, 10.43 Milton, MA USA with Simha lagna and Mars and Ketu in the seventh house. I can reel off instances after instances to show why astrology which had been rescued from the hands of primitive half literate pandits who had kept alive the tradition of jyotisha somehow (we are grateful to them) was modernized by B. Suryanana Rao, Dr. B.V.Raman and some of their contemporaries to the extent it was possible. These days with very intelligent, well educated and argumentative students who do not have respect for all teachers, the challenge of modernizing astrology is being met more satisfactorily than ever before. This is to be seen and experienced to be believed. That is what Ambica meant when she wrote I thought I should thank you for grooming me to handle the position I do today. Your research pattern is so well thought out that it can beat even the best of institutes. I have produced it here because when I was defending the case of astrology in the Supreme Court on 3 Nov 2003, I was aware of the vicious arguments against astrology and its primitive interpretations taking us to primitive age and leading to saffronization which was the pet communist argument. While other astrologers who could have joined as petitioners-in-person and argue in English chickened out, I was left alone, the only astrologer, to fight the battle against Indias top lawyer, Shanti Bhushan. Because my astrology is modern not primitive, interpretative in approach, non dogmatic in conclusions and methodical in vast replication, I won the battle. That is what our students do and shine brilliantly, some of them appear to be super brilliant and are the future greats of Hindu astrology. Some of the crooked ones will become Kaal Sarpa Yogis also. Same is the case with the ayanamsha. We use, Lahiris. If some ayanamsha lunatics come out with different values, let them battle it out with modern

astronomer to prove their point and not run away from the battle. Since I rely on Jaiminis karakas, I have found that Lahiri alone gives them correctly for correct results. Other ayanamshas sometimes convert the Atmakaraka into Darakaraka and the whole sequence and ranking of karakas is turned upside down. One very sattwick swami from south India, Tamilian or Keralite, by the name Sadashiva Giri had met me many years ago and asked me to see his ayanamsha. I told him that we were not interested in any astronomical discussion or even Surya Siddhanta. He said that his ayanamsha was based on divine inspiration (Deva Dutta) and that publishers in Delhi and the late R. Santhanam had insulted him. An American woman, Deborrah Ress said that she would finance the publication of his book if I wrote the preface. I did it neither accepting his ayanamsha nor rejecting. I asked readers to judge it themselves as I did not want to insult a swami who was not boastful at all like ayanamsha lunatics I have met often and so many times. I have fought this battle for fifty years and now the new generation of educated astrologer will do it better than what I have. Let me quote from the research.

Jupiter in Simha successful marriages

In the end, it must repeated that researches must be produced in astrology with evidences to rescue it from fraudulent, foolish and frivolous astrologers. It must also be remembered that in the case of the Ramayana and the Mahabharata and other Puranas, the Bhandarkar Institute of Pune has done researches to remove interpolations from various versions. In the case of astrology such work has not been done. Different publishers have published different versions of many of these books. For instance, one can see different versions of the Brihat Parashara Shastra and see some conflicting versions and contradictions in them. It is not difficult to assume that in the Muhurtha books similar interpolations may have taken place. The prejudice attached to Simhastha Jupiter and marriages may be an interpolation. At any rate, through our astrological research we see no reason to accept it as an astrologically valid objection to marriages. K.N. Rao 10 September 2003 Let me here also refer to my argument in the Supreme Court as a petitioner in person in 1990 and 1991 when the reservation issue was being discussed. I had shown to the court that in both Backward Classes Commission reports of Kaka Kalelkar 1955 and of B.P.Mandal 1978, astrologers were classified as backwards! The jocular argument I had put was that in Mandal list of Andhra Pradeshs backward classes, Vaidiki and Niyogi were mentioned (such was the abysmal quality of his investigation) and I am a Niyogi Brahmin of Andhra. And known as an astrologer also, I could claim to be backward doubly.

Why do astrologers want to remain backward now when we can rescue it from narrow and irrational interpretation and make it a subject higher than any being taught in the universities, more scientific and more helpful and bafflingly brilliant? I have encountered both types of pandits: one who knows some astrology but has a ferocious pride of pedigree and obnoxious family hauteur and the other immensely likeable scholars with winning humility like Sri Madhura Krishna Sastri who earn our eternal gratitude for their enormous scholarship and lack of pride and acrimony.

Indira Gandhi (19 Nov 1917-31 Oct 1984) some events of her life

ost charismatic woman leader in the recent history of the world, the most powerful prime minister of India till today, Indira Gandhis horoscope and predictions given about her have ruined the reputations of many astrologers in India as she ruined the political careers of many Indian leaders. For astrologers, the interpretation of the famous exchanges in her horoscope, has been an enigma and also a lesson. From the Jaimini angle and Chara dasha it is equally interesting and provides new insights for our thinking. Mothers death: afflicted MK

If a karaka that is afflicted is aspected by Gnathikaraka also it leads to early departure of such person from ones life, in various ways generally, not always. I have found it working in majority of cases. In this article I am showing it in three cases. In the case of Indira Gandhi, her Matrikaraka Jupiter is afflicted by Saturn and is being aspected by Moon her GK. Her mother died in Mesha-Vrisha where her MK is placed.

See the events leading to her marriage. From 1935 to 1939 it was Mesha dasha. Mesha has Upapada which took her to a TB hospital in Switzerland where Feroze Gandhi came to meet her from England where he was studying. From Mesha in the eighth house are her PK Mercury and DK Sun showing a secret love affair. Then came her Meena dasha from 1939 to 1949. Meena is her navamsha lagna and she was of marriageable age. Now watch the antardashas from here: Meena Mesha (19 Nov 1939 to Sep 1940) The upapada and the aspect of DK on Mesha in the birth horoscope and of DKN from Simha helped her resolve to marry Feroze Ghandy who later changed it to Gandhi or his family had done it earlier. Meena Vrisha (19 Nov 1940 to July 1941) Here DK is in the seventh house in which period she told her father in jail that she was determined to marry Feroze. Her father had to yield to her decision and the declaration was made creating a national uproar which Jawahar Lal Nehru defended hypocritically.

From July 1941 to May 1942) it was Meena Mithuna with Rahu and Venus in the seventh and it was an unconventional marriage as Rahu denotes here. A Parsi as we know was said to have consented to get the marriage performed in a Hindu way. From May 1942 to March 1943 (Meena-Karka) she must have decided to raise a family as PK is in the fifth house from here.

From March 1943 to Jan 1944 (Meena Simha) with PK being in Simha in the Saptamsha, Rajiv Gandhi entered her womb.2 From Jan 1944 to Nov 1944 in Meena Kanya with Jupiter, the natural putrakaraka and Mercury the Jaimini PK aspecting Makara, the fifth house from Kanya, she gave birth to her first son Rajiv Gandhi. In the Saptamsha, from Kanya the fifth house receives the aspect of Mercury PK3. Meena Tula lasted upto September 1945 Now Meena Vrischika was lasting upto July 1946 and PK is here. She became pregnant again and gave birth in Dec 1946 to her second son. Note: The approximate week of the birth of the baby, in some cases, of the day also, can be calculated if one goes upto five levels of Chara dasha. For example Sanjay Gandhi was born in Meena-Dhanu-Mithuna-Simha and Vrischika where the PK is placed. If the Saptamsha is seen all these five dasha levels point to the birth of a baby. From Meena the fifth house is aspected by Jupiter. From Mithuna the fifth house is aspected both by Jupiter and PK. Simha has PK which is Mercury. Vrischika is the fifth house both of birth horoscope and the Saptamsha. Death of Sanjay Gandhi Her son Sanjay Gandhi died in June 1980 in Kanya mahadasha from where, in the birth horoscope, the PK is aspected by GK representing accidents and in Saptamsha, PK and GK are in the twelfth house, Simha a rashi of accidents4 from Kanya whose dasha was running.

The antardasha was of Vrisha where DK is placed in the Saptamsha. In the lagna chart where PK and DK in the seventh can also show marriage but from Saptamsha the event becomes clear. The pratyantara dasha was of Mithuna from where PK falls in the sixth house of accidents and is with DK which also denotes death and is aspected by Moon, GK denoting accidents in the Rasi chart. Her fathers death on 27 May 1964 happened in Vrischika-Simha-Kanya Vrischika has Sun, the significator of father but is also DK. Simha has Mars BK . From Kanya, the ninth house receives the aspect of GK which is Moon and Sun the DK is in the third house denoting the longevity of parents. Let me quote what was reported in the Astrological Magazine about this prediction of mine and is mentioned in my book Nehru Dynasty. Her own death One night Raja Dinesh Singh had asked me some time in April or May 1984 and I had told him that the end of Indira was imminent. He asked me if I could tell the time-frame, a favourite expression of his, I had to work hard, with Dr. R.K. Caroli, Mr. Anand Singh, a close friend and personal secretary of Raja Dinesh Singh, waiting impatiently. The calculations were done by my friend Kumar Viveki. My specific answer was between 1st and 4th November 1984, Indira was shot dead on 31st October 1984. Later, addressing an astrological convocation what Raja Dinesh Singh said, was reported in Astrological-Magazine as He mentioned many of Mr. Raos predictions such as Mrs. Gandhis death etc.. which had proved correct.(Astrological-Magazine, June 1990. P. 531) My basis of prediction Briefly my basis of this prediction which is remembered and quoted even today and which was reported in the Statesman. It was as follows: (a) The New-Year Horoscope of 1984 had clearly shown a tragic change in the central government. (b) Indira was passing through the Saturn-Rahu period. In Rahu-Saturn she had defied her father and married Feroze Gandhi. In Jupiter-Saturn she had broken off

all her relations with her husband and their were terrible scandals heard about her which include the necklace she had got from the king of Saudi Arabia and the mink coat she had got from Dharam Teja, a shipping magnate. Now in Saturn-Rahu she had antagonized the Sikhs by hurting their religious sentiments. She had invited her doom. Her span of life could not be more than 68 years by any calculation (see Saturn in the lagna). Saturn in her lagna was aspecting her lagna-lord: as her 7th and the 8th lord, it had to prove disastrous. From her Moon, Saturn was again her 2nd lord in the 7th house. Saturns major period had to be a killer. Which sub-period? Which sub-period, was the question to be decided. Moon in her 7th house aspected by Jupiter could save her. The Sun in her 5th house again aspected by Jupiter could save her. But Mars in her 2nd house could be a killer though being a yogakarka, it would not kill her. Rahu like Saturn is a fully qualified killer according to Hindu-astrology. Then Rahu with Venus, a killer for Cancer ascendant, in the 6th house was doubly bad. Transits: In the ashtakvarga, as I wrote in the November 1984 issue of the Astrological-Magazine (available in Delhi in the middle of October) I had already said that after 24 September, 1984 Saturn in Vishakha (20 degree in Libra) had entered that crucial-area again. Jupiter with Mars in Sagittarius was in the 12th house from her Moon in Capricorn. The transit of Rahu in Taurus was bad again as it was on her natal Jupiter. There was no saving element anywhere. (From my book Nehru Dynasty) Now see it through Chara dasha Simha dasha (1983 to 1992) Simha is eighth from her Karakamsha which is Makara. It was Simha Tula and Kumbha period from 17 Oct 1984 to 19 Nov 1984 In Simha there is her DKN Sun. Tula is aspected by DKN with Mars showing violence. The pratyantara is of Kumbha from where DKN falls in the seventh house.

The sookshma is Mesha on 31 October 1984 aspected by DK and DKN. The prana dasha is also of Mesha. I did this calculation after her death to make sure that my method of computing Chara dasha was correct. It is a very time taking process which had better be avoided and that time spent on spiritual pursuits. But to convince that jyotisha is a pratyaksha shastra6 it should be done once in a while. The trickiest part in astrology is to calculate the span of life and come to the exact period of death. It should satisfy an astrologer to see the fatal period if he can see this period two to four years in advance. If the actual death occurs two years after the period it should not be treated as an error but a near accurate prediction.

or so many generations in India who love cine heroes and figures of the glamour world, the physically tall actor, Amitabh Bachchan, not fitted into the traditional cine model of a lover like Dilip Kumar or Devanand with their medium height and handsome faces, carved out his place as an angry young man. But who expected him to be voted as the best actor of the twentieth century? That is history now.

His horoscope was given to me by his mother late Smt. Teji Bachchan and I had written about it in my article in the Astrological Magazine twenty six years ago discussing his accident in July 1982 about which I had given a forewarning to his mother. That prediction was based on Vimshottari dasha. Let me discuss more events of his life through my tested method of Chara dasha and show many more events. Birth of his sibling In Kumbha mahadasha and the antardashas of Simha and Kanya his only sibling, Ajitabh Bachchan was born in May 1947. Kanya has his Bhatrikaraka, Mars. Let me quote from some information gathered by some students as my knowledge of cinema is awfully poor.

He first gained popularity in the early 1970s as the "angry young man" of Bollywood cinema, and has since become one of the most prominent figures in the history of Indian cinema. Bachchan made his film debut in 1969 as one of the seven protagonists in Saat Hindustani, a film directed by Khwaja Ahmad Abbas and featuring Utpal Dutt, Madhu and Jalal Agha. Though the film was not a financial success, Bachchan won his first National Film Award for Best Newcomer. Anand (1971) followed, where he starred alongside Rajesh Khanna. Bachchan's role as a doctor with a cynical view of life garned him his first Filmfare Best Supporting Actor Award. Amitabh then played the role of an infatuated lover in Parwaana (1971). This was followed by several films including Reshma Aur Shera (1971). During this time, he made a guest appearance in the film Guddi which starred his future wife Jaya Bhaduri. He narrated part of the film Bawarchi. The next dasha of Karka 1971 to 1980 has DK and also DKN, Jupiter, exalted and vargottama. Marriage and Children I do not have the exact date of his marriage but the likely period is Karka Mesha which was from April 1973 to January 1974 Mesha being the seventh house of the navamsha.

His first child, a daughter, Shweta, could have taken birth in the antardashas of Meena/Kumbha starting from January 1974.

His son Abhishek in news as an actor and husband of Aishwarya could have been born in 1976 in Karka Dhanu from April 1976 to Jan 1977 as the Saptamsha given here shows PK in Mithuna with Kumbha lagna. His Accident of 1982 I had given this prediction in Jan 1982 to his mother and had written an article also in the Astrological Magazine. Let me show the same event through Chara dasha. It was in the Simha dasha which was from 1980 to 1991. GK Moon is aspecting this rashi Simha and in the antardasha of Tula the accident took place in July 1982 perhaps on 26 July. This was the period of Simha Tula, Tula from 14 July 1982 to 11 August 1982. All that I have been able to get from the internet is that the accident was on 26 July 1982 in the shooting of picture Coolie but the time is not mentioned. If four of five levels of Chara Dasha are worked it will be: Mahadasha is of Simha aspected by GK Antardasha of Tula having GK Pratyantaradasha of again Tula Sookshma dasha is Mesha seventh from GK but aspected by Rahu and Ketu. The Prana dasha could be Karka which has DK and it was a very fatal accident which nearly could have caused death.

Foray Into Politics: The Cesspool

Politics: 19841987

In 1984, Bachchan took a break from acting and briefly entered politics in support of long-time family friend, Rajiv Gandhi. He contested Allahabad's seat of 8th Lok Sabha against H. N. Bahuguna, former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh and won by the one of the highest victory margins in general election history (68.2% of the vote). His political career, however, was short-lived: he resigned after three years, calling politics a cesspool. Simha Dhanu (July 1983 to June 1984) and Simha Makara upto May 1985. Amitabh joined politics in this period and Makara being a rashi, generally, of 7 change ; it was from the film world to what he called the cesspool of politics, an unpleasant change in his life. It must have been so as from Makara, there is GK in the tenth house. From Makara, the ninth house is excellent having Atmakaraka, Amatyakaraka and Putrakaraka, Venus. Dhanu is the rashi of rise and fall and accidents etc. See the tenth house with AK and Amk and PK and BK. He won his elections against H.N. Bahuguna which was a big achievement and entered the Indian parliament and got disgusted with politics soon. He won his elections in Makara from where the planet of democracy, Saturn, aspects the tenth house. Simha Mesha (March 1987 to Feb 1988) He got disgusted with politics and with AK and AmK in the sixth house of struggle decided finally to leave politics which annoyed his childhood friend Rajiv Gandhi, the Indian prime minister particularly after he described politics as cesspool. Notice, BK also in the sixth house representing his brother Ajitabh and the controversy of Bofors in which Ajitabh too was mentioned. I will trace four more events through Chara Dasha. Amitabhs Kanya dasha was from 1991 to 2003. Note here both BK Mars and Sun are placed proving it to be bad for his famous father Harivansrai Bachchan whom our generation admired much more than Amitabh. Sun and BK here eliminates the need for a separate karaka for father. Harivansh Bachchan died on 18 Jan 2003. It was Kanya Kanya Makar both BK and Sun are here and DK in the seventh house8.

7 Note the signification given by Rao Saheb to Capricorn (Makara), readers must take Capricorn MD/Ads of

Chara Dasha, see afflictions to it and its lord and test it on charts aggressively and probably produce a paper showing deeper insights. Saptarishis Astrology 8 Refer to his previous articled of Part 1 published in Saptarishis Astrology to see DK & death relationship, something Sri K N Rao never revealed in the last 2 decades as per our limited experience of his CD. Also note

The Tula dasha started from 2003 and will last upto 2014. If a karaka that is afflicted is aspected by Gnathikaraka also it leads to early departure of such person from ones life, in various ways generally, not always. In this case, Amitabhs Matrikaraka Saturn receives the benefic aspect of Jupiter, though aspected by GK. There is Moon here, representing mother and eighth from here in Vrisha is Saturn, the Matrikaraka. The end of his mother Smt.Teji Bachchan who had done Vishnusahastranama with me many times in my house, was becoming visible. Smt.Teji Bachchan died on 21 Dec 2007 in Tula Meena Tula. DK Jupiter aspects MK Saturn in the eighth house from Tula. World recognition In 1999, Bachchan was voted the Greatest Star of stage or screen of the Millennium by BBC online poll where he defeated many Hollywood legends. In 2001, he was honoured with the Actor of the Century award at the Alexandria International Film Festival in Egypt in recognition of his contribution to the world of cinema. (from the internet). It was the period Kanya mahadasha with AK and AmK here aspecting the tenth house and antardasha of Mithuna from where the tenth house is aspected by AK and Amk. This period ended in 2001 with Kanya-Kanya where both AK and AmK and PK forming many Jaimini rajayogas are present. Marriage of his son Aishwarya Abhishek wedding photos 27 Apr 2007 ... (from the internet). It was Tula mahadasha and Kumbha antardasha which is the lagna of the Saptamsha and the pratyantardasha of Makara where DK Jupiter is placed in the Saptamsha. It is how Chara Dasha as researched by me and used both in the birth horoscope and relevant varga charts are to be used.9

that Vi (of 8H) was the sookshma dasha operating on 18th Jan 2003 when his father expired and draw your inferences. Kindly note that Rao Saheb rarely goes into details and leaves it to the hard working astrologer to notice what he has not said it explicitly. You got to re-read his books and articles minimum 7 times to grasp the depth of what he has not spoon fed and every time you would find something new. - SA 9 This paragraph has been italicized & colored by us, please Re-read the paragraph before it and draw the Superior hints that Rao Saheb is giving, most of his fans would often tell us that one needs to take the hints from the italicized sentences in his books but we often would repeat that its more than that, he gives hints at places where the intelligent yet biased astrologer in a hurry would miss it (not making it bold or italicized), thats K N Rao for you who does not want techniques to fall into greedy astrologers.. - SA

Using Chara Dasha To Fix And Correct The Lagna

have explained why I had to do a research on Chara Dasha to fix lagnas in cases where the birth date was known but not the birth time. It has been the glory and agony of my astrological career because I took risks, predicted and succeeded when God showered his grace on me and failed me when I became overconfident and, perhaps, arrogant, those human frailities which affect us, we the humans. Among many let me explain through Chara Dasha a case which may be there in the archives of Delhi police, if they have archives. I have included in my book Ups and Downs in Career from where I will quote here first and explain it through Chara Dasha. In my book Astrology, Destiny and the Wheel of Time in the chapter Crime and Gurus Grace, I have discussed it. Let me, on the basis of that experience, give the case of an ambassador whose kidnapping had become a major topic of discussion in Delhi in October 1991. A friend in Delhi police asked me to work on the problem astrologically. He got the birth details without the birth time. I had given prediction on the basis of prashna that the ambassador would come back alive but the Delhi would not get any credit. The kidnapping case reported on a website, I now find, is described thus. From Wikipedia Khalistan Liberation Front KLF was among the Sikh groups that claimed responsibility for the 1991 kidnapping of the Romanian charg d'affaires in New Delhi, Liviu Radu. This appeared to be retaliation for Romanian arrests of KLF members suspected of the attempted assassination of Julio Ribeiro, 62, the Indian ambassador to Romania, in Bucharest.[9] Radu was released unharmed after Sikh politicians criticized the action. In October 1991, KLF kidnapped a Romanian diplomat, Liviu Radu to barter the release of two top militants, Harjinder Singh Jinda and Sukhjinder Singh Sukha. Also that year, the Khalistan Liberation Force (KLF) kidnapped a Romanian diplomat, Liviu Radu. Harpal Singh told TSS that he was instrumental in his release. He and several people active in the Khalistan movement decided that the SYA would issue a press statement that called for the unconditional release of Radu. The statement was published in every newspaper in Punjab and in

international Sikh publications. Eventually, Radu was released unharmed. Harpal Singh said that the kidnapping only harmed the cause and that it should never have taken place. http://www.sikhsentinel.com/sikhsentinel0309/harpalsingh1.htm I told my friend police officer of a high rank that I preferred working on the birth horoscope and he should get me the birth details of Radu. He got it from circle police inspector on phone who collected it from Mrs. Radu and her two sons whose frequent appearances on television channels had made their faces familiar to us and had added to the agony of Delhi police. It was 18 Nov 1938, Bucharest, Romania. The time of birth was unknown.

I prepared the south Indian horoscope of the day without the lagna, marked the degrees and fixed the karakas. The karakas were: AK Mercury, Amk Mars, Moon BK, Saturn MK, Venus PK, Sun GK and Jupiter DK. What should be the lagna? I reasoned out like this: I fixed Sagittarius as the ascendant for three reasons. (a) There is a rajayoga in the twelfth house, the Sun and the Mercury combination giving him the post of an ambassador in a foreign country. (b) There was an exchange between the tenth and the twelfth lords.

(c) For kidnapping to take place the twelfth lord has to come into play. Here SaturnMars axis had made this a big international news very adverse to India.

Then I prepared Chara Dasha thus: Dhanu 1938 to 1940 Vrischika 1940 to 1950 Tula 1950 to 1951 Kanya 1951 to 1961 Simha 1961 to 1970 I paused here and saw DK in the seventh house and reasoned that Radu must have married in this period to have two grown up sons shown by television channels. Karka 1970 to 1980 Mithuna 1980 to 1985 Vrisha 1985 to 1991 Mesha 1991 to 1996 Upapada is in Karka aspected by GK Sun (in this case terrorists) and Jupiter DK. In Vimshottari dasha the kidnapping took place in the dasha of Saturn aspected by Mars twelfth lord whose role must exist in kidnapping and the antardasha of Venus in the twelfth house and the pratyantara dasha of Saturn. See the horoscope in the south Indian format without the lagna, which I decided should be Dhanu. I then wrote out my readings and told my police officer

friend who insisted, inspite of my strong reluctance, that I meet the wife of the kidnapped ambassador, Mrs. Radu. I took my readings there and slowly verified them thus on the basis of Chara dasha. The account is in my book Ups and Downs in Career. My readings which the wife of the ambassador had seen were: 1. Between 1951 and 1961 was he studying at some place other than his country and achieved by academic distinction? Could not be verified. 2. After January 29, 1964 and before the end of 1965 or up to April 1966 was his marriage finalized? October 16, 1965. 3. Between December 1966 and March 1969 was there any abortion or child birth or vice versa. The first son was born in 1967, then there was an abortion and the second son was born in August 1970. 4. 5. Had he studied foreign languages other than his mother tongue? Between 1970 and 1980 mostly out of his country? 1970 to 1973 in India and 1976-78 in Ceylon. 6. Between 1980 and 1985 sharp changes in career? 1979 Romanian T.V. till 1990. 7. Is there a sister younger to him? Only one brother elder to him. 8. He is either the first child or the first male child in the family. Has an elder brother. The additional information passed on was: (a) Mrs. A was born on September, 1940 between 9.00 and 9.30 in the morning, Bucharest. (b) A brother younger to her died. She is the eldest.

(c) The ambassadors mother died when he was only six years old. His father died on January 1 or 2, 1978.

(d) (e)

First son was born on October 22, 1967 at 1.20 p.m., Bucharest. The second son was born on August 26, 1970 Delhi, India between 6.00 and 6.30 a.m.

Then I came home prepared the horoscopes of her two sons on which I relied more, her own and finally decided what degrees of Dhanu it should be and gave further readings to the police officer who passed in on to Mrs. Radu, I presume, though I was not sure. The final readings were: My readings were summarized by my friend thus: (a) (b) (c) The hostage seemed to have been lodged in South-West direction from his house. The hostage may not be in Delhi. He could be in Ajmer or in any other pilgrim town of Rajasthan.

(d) Some positive indications about his captivity are likely to be known by 27th October. (Mercury retrograding). (e) (i) (ii) The star position of Mrs A and her two sons indicate that: His release will be delayed may take up to end of November 1991. Calls for hard bargaining between abductors and negotiators.

(iii) His health would deteriorate. (iv) He is likely to come back alive, but with ruined health. (f) No danger to his life.

Mercury entered Dhanu on 26 November 1991 and ambassador Radu, released by Khalistan terrorists reached home without the Delhi police getting any credit on that day. Now work on Chara Dasha as I have discussed in the series on the basis of the final horoscope of Radu I prepared which is given here.
