"The following script aontains the complete business o f the above production, with many improvements and suggestions derived h.aa observation o f the play i n actual performance.

I n reproducing it tho following general suggestions m a y be o b s e m d :

The entire performance should run not l e s s than an hour and twenty minutes, ineluding a tien minute intermission af'ter Bet Oae. The reoorded scenes are naturall y determined i n advance as to time but the spoken scenes may be lengthened o r shortened a t the discrotion of the producer.

A microphone should be included with the sound equipment, and the VOICE o f DOH QUIXOTE spoken through it, elfmktating the differonce in effect bctwroen the 1 ' 0 crorded voims and the natural one. Tho actor reading the Voiw should do so as anrsfeall as possiblo. This i s not t o say that the e8 am to be sung or t o cover a wide range, but the phrasinG must bo rythmica1 and tho key words sustained.

ALL TME PHANTOMS should be re-designed aoaording t o a uniform, s i m p l i f i e d idea, eliminating a l l fussy details. They may be done l a r g e l y i n white, with patterns of greys, s i l v e r , and black.,..but the colors must be the stme throughout. Stippling of blue-grey should be used on them i n such a way as t o break up the outlines and reduce t h e i r r e a l i s t i c appearance as much as possible
