1. OBJECT

1.1 INTRODUCTION.
This document applies to the following SAGEM test mobile products: OT 190 OT 160 OT 130 OT96MW OT 96MGPRS OT 96Rband FTT 36 GPRS

It describes how to configure the test mobile and the PC in order to use WAP services (CSD for OT 160, OT 96MW and OTRband CSD and GPRS for OT 130, OT 190, OT 96MGPRS and FTT 36 GPRS). The mobile screens presented in this document may differ depending on your language settings.

2. WAP SETUP PARAMETERS

Press the @ button to access the WAP menu

Press or to select Advanced (4) and then press OK ()

Press or to select Connection settings (1) and then press OK ()

Press or to select PROVIDER1, PROVIDER 2 or PROVIDER 3 and then press modify ()

2.1 PROVIDER CONFIGURATION FOR OT 190, OT 130, OT 96MGPRS AND FTT 36 GPRS

Press or to select Provider title and then press OK

Type the Provider title(lowercases are available still depressing the key) and press OK or Validate ()

Press or to select Homepage and then press OK

Type the Homepage(lowercases are available still depressing the key ) . e.g.: is available still depressing the key # Homepage syntax is like a classical web-browser (Empty as default)) and press OK or Validate ()

Press or to select Preferred connection and then press OK

Press or to select GSM, GSM if not GPRS, or GPRS and then press Modify ()

If you chose GPRS in the Preferred Connection screen, skip the following screen.

Type the login(lowercases are available still depressing the key - login and password are mandatory if Port type is secure. Nothing is required if Port type is Non secure.) and then press OK or Validate ()

Press or to select WAP gateway and then press OK

Type the IP Address and press Next () Press or to select Non secure, or Secure and then press OK or Validate ()

If APN is not defined press Options/Directory ()

Press or to select an existing apn and then press OK, or select Add()

Type the APN (lowercases are available still depressing the key) and press OK or Validate ()

2.1.2 WAP via GSM Setup Parameters


If you chose GSM in the Preferred Connection screen, skip the following screen.

Press or to select GSM parameters and then press OK

Press or to select Login and then press OK

Type the login (lowercases are available still depressing the key - login and password are mandatory if Port type is secure. Nothing is required if Port type is Non secure.) and then press OK or Validate ()

You must Activate now the default provider Press or to select PROVIDER1, PROVIDER 2 or PROVIDER 3 and then press Activate ()

2.2 PROVIDER CONFIGURATION FOR OT 160, OT 96MW AND OT 96RBAND


For the Provider Configuration, please refer to 2.1.2. The Provider Configuration Menu for OT 160, OT 96MW AND OT 96RBAND has however the following differences with the Preferred Connection Menu for OT 190, OT 130, OT 96MGPRS and FTT 36 GPRS : Provider Title: refer to 2.1 for more information about how to set-up the Provider Title Homepage: refer to 2.1 for more information about how to set-up your Homepage IP Address: the IP Address item is equivalent to the WAP Gateway item in 2.1.2
