POSTGRADUATE RESEARCH INTERN Research & Development One Year Contract Renewal only once) Citizens only

vacancy no: ORD/PGRT 1/2013 closing date: 07/02/2013 The project will undertake research on the changing role of the university in inclusive innovation. Its central aim will be to support the formation and development of a research network centred on the role of universities in innovation for inclusive development in six Southern African countries. We are seeking to appoint a postgraduate research intern on a (One Year Contract, Renewal only once) term contract, to be based in Gaborone at the University of Botswana for research training through participation on this exciting comparative project under the leadership of the Project Coordinator. Duties: ? The execution and management of research projects; ? The liaison with research partner teams in Southern Africa; Requirements: ? Applicants must be in possession of a First Class Bachelors degree (or equivalent qualification) and registered for a Masters degree or a PhD with a university; ? A formal training and/or demonstrable experience of at least one year in the area of innovation, research commercialization and technology transfer will be an added advantage ? Experience with data management, statistics and data analysis, and knowledge of the programmes: MS Office Suites (Word, Outlook, Excel), SPSS, Stata is an advantage. ?
