We Cares mission is to provide transitional and emergency shelter, day center resources, and support services in collaboration with other agencies to assist homeless individuals in becoming selfsufficient.

Our History and Purpose

Since its inception in 2003, the We Care Program (WCP) has operated the only emergency cold-weather shelter for the men of the Turlock homeless community. The We Care program emerged after a concerned coalition of private citizens, city and community officials, and community service agencies met at the Turlock Community Collaborative. They created an organization designed to assist those members of the homeless community who were ineligible for support from other social services agencies.
