Horizontal and vertical curve setting out report Paul Osborne Vertical curve: To set out this curve

we used: Ranging rods Automatic level Steel tape Clip-on markers Firstly we set up the automatic level and took a reading of 1.1m on the ranging rod this was added to the TBM of 44.5m to give a collimation height of 45.6m, we then set the ranging rods out at a chainage of 5m intervals upto 30m. We then used our collimation height and subtracted the reduced levels on the attached sheet to give the heights of which we had to set the clip on markers to. The curve was a sag or valley curve.
