Nneka Meka c/o NOLA Greek, LLC 21 Terreza Del Este Harvey, LA 70058 Dear Dr. Meka: Please accept this communication as an immediate cease-and-desist request relative to improper use of the New Orleans Greek Picnic, LLC logo on 12/4//2013 on Instagram under the screen name NOLAGreek. Please be aware that our legal team has been informed of this improper use of our logo, and that if they are not removed within two (2) days of receipt of this letter, we reserve the right to proceed with litigation against your company. You are in violation of Article 2315 of the Louisiana Civil Code, which expressly forbids the publication of false and defamatory statements in an attempt to harm the reputation of an other. In addition, you are in violation of several statutes of the Lanham Act, including sections 1055, for improper and unauthorized use of the New Orleans Greek Picnic, LLC logo, which is trademarked in accordance with all applicable laws and statutes. On 12/3/2013, you posted a screenshot on Instagram of the New Orleans Greek Picnic, LLC Instagram account, which contained our logo and several photos of our photos (see attached). This is a direct violation of state and federal trademark laws. While we have attempted to settle our differences civilly, it has become increasingly apparent that NOLA Greek is unwilling to operate in a professional, civil manner. Please be advised that this is my final warning: subsequent efforts to defame, slander or harm the reputation of New Orleans Greek Picnic, LLC will result in litigation against NOLA Greek, LLC. I demand that you cease and desist from this activity immediately and remove your comments regarding my company. If you elect not to do so, I will have no alternative but to take appropriate legal action against you. In addition, any further slanderous or libelous accusations by NOLA Greek, its owner and its representatives shall result in legal action.
